A New, Creepy Faction Enters ENDLESS Legend 2

They’re so creepy looking

Publisher Hooded Horse and developer Amplitude Studios have announced The Necrophage, a new faction for ENDLESS Legend 2. The Necrophage offer a new sense of terror to an everchanging landscape via massive, insect-like creatures that tear down everything they come in contact with. Just the sound of their wings buzzing makes my skin crawl.

ENDLESS Legend 2 tasks players with creating sprawling empires with decisive political influences to learn all there is to know about the planet’s dark secrets. There are six different factions that players will be able to choose from once the 1.0 update becomes available after release. Two of those factions have been revealed as Aspects and Kin of Sheredyn. The third, the Necrophage, are being brought back due to their popularity in the first installment.

The Necrophage are an aggressive faction and rely on a queen whose city grows around her, making a need for diplomacy obsolete. To travel through the city, the insect-like creatures use a connection of tunnels that assist in getting resources back to their capital quickly. Because of the queen’s importance, players only need to focus on the capital instead of placing camps and founding cities.

What I find to be most interesting is the larvae feature that can essentially breed additional military units that can be upgraded anywhere. Larvae can grow into Necrodrones that fly, Spitters that can utilize ranged attacks, and Feeders that act as melee troops. Unfortunately, larvae are very fragile, so ensuring they’re safe is of the utmost priority.

Players who are excited to learn more about ENDLESS Legend 2 can apply to the Insiders Program. The program provides early access to the game, allowing fans, both new and old, to offer feedback and help shape the experience they’re looking for.
