Winnie the Pooh Steals Bike in Broad Daylight in Arizona and There Is a $150 Award: ‘Honey Addiction Is Rough’

Now that’s a new way to steal.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you haven’t. One would never expect a thief to wear a Winnie the Pooh inflatable costume so that they would be able to steal something, and yet that’s exactly what occurred recently in Arizona. Someone wearing a Winnie the Pooh costume decided to steal a bike. The disguise was apparently an attempt to shroud themselves from security cameras — and it might just have worked.

In pictures posted by the bike’s owner, you can see Winnie the Pooh waltzing off with a stolen bicycle. According to the owner, our Winnie the Pooh entered a gated complex in Arizona and then proceeded to steal the bike. Thankfully for the owner, their neighbor was able to give them pictures of the theft. I’m not sure they are exactly helpful, but it’s still a kind gesture. The owner of the bike is offering a $150 reward to whoever helps them find the bike.

People Reacting to the Winnie the Pooh Theft In Arizona

It’s not every day that you see Winnie the Pooh stealing a bike, so of course, people had a lot to say on the internet. One person wrote, “Damn. Honey addiction is rough. But seriously hope you get the bike. Check Craigslist for that resale.” Another gave a perfect example of what Winnie the Pooh might write if he was actually selling the bike. I had to include it:

“Hullo. Bike for Sale. – $40 (or hunny)

Hallo frens.I’ve got a bike I’m not entirely sure where I got it from. It was just sitting there, rather lonely-like, and I thought, ‘Why shouldn’t I give it a home?’ The bike… well… she’s a bit tired. Doesn’t quite go vroom like others. Needs a touch of fixing, perhaps a kind word or two.

Bike Features: 2 wheels (mostly) One pedal works sometimes Frame smells faintly of hunny

I’d be happy to trade for: A large jar of hunny

Several small jars of hunny

A promise of hunny

Meet me behind the QT. No low ballers”

When the owner said that the theft happened at 5:29 am, several were weirded out by how someone decided to wake up this early to steal a bike. “Imagine donning a whole a** Winnie the Pooh costume at the break of dawn to go steal a broken bike. Wild,” one person wrote. Another replied by saying, “You’re assuming they ever take it off.” The Winnie the Pooh jokes kept going, which isn’t exactly helpful for the owner, but he might have gotten a laugh or two. “We all knew Pooh had sticky fingers, but damn,” one person commented.

Another argued that the owner should leave the bike with Winnie the Pooh. “Hear me out OP but this is juuuust funny enough to warrant letting him keep it if he’s caught. If Barney the Dinosaur held me at gunpoint and asked for my wallet…well who am I to argue. That’s Barney the blasted Dinosaur. He raised me,” they wrote. Can’t argue with that. Now if you found a bike for sale in Arizona, ask the seller if they love Winnie the Pooh.
