Yesterday, Social Media Manager of SIEA announced the most downloaded PS4 games of 2017. Call of Duty: WWII topped the chart as the most downloaded game with Destiny 2 in second place. WWII doubled the number of copies sold compared to Infinite Warfare in the first three days of release, so it was expected to do well.
Justin Massongill, Social Media Manager of SIEA, gave his point of view while posting the results saying:
“A lot of the titles on these lists are to be expected, but there are some surprises tucked in there… Friday the 13th at #3 on the PS4 list? Whoa!”
Assassin’s Creed Origins did not make the list, however, Assassin’s Creed Origins – Dynamic Theme did come third on the PS4 Themes chart. Horizon Zero Dawn came fourth on the list and Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds also came fourth, but on the PS4 add-ons chart.
The PS4 add-ons chart contain five Call of Duty add-ons which are Call of Duty Black Ops III: Zombies Chronicles which ranked first with Call of Duty: WWII – Season Pass at third, Black Ops III – The Giant Zombies Map came sixth, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – DLC1 Sabotage ranked eighth, and finally Call of Duty: MWR Variety Map Pack came tenth.
In the PS VR chart, the Job Simulator hit the top of the charts as the most downloaded Virtual Reality game of 2017. Superhot VR came second, followed by PlayStation VR Worlds. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR came fifth, but it did only come out on November 17, 2017.
