For Honor season five release date has just been announced by Ubisoft. The launch will hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 15, 2018. This will coincide the For Honor‘s first anniversary. The season five is called Age of Wolves.

The free update will include hero updates, fight system changes, new customization, and Hero balancing, matchmaking and connectivity. Dedicated servers and a new training mode will also be released during the season. Kensei, Conqueror, Highlander, Berserker and Nobushi heroes will be receiving major gameplay updates. The Kensei and Conqueror will both receive new move sets, animations, while the Highlander, the Berserker and the Nobushi will receive meaningful balancing updates. Following Season Five, more heroes will receive similar balancing updates as the development team continues to prioritize game balancing.

Ubisoft hint that they will be bringing big updates that will excite fans of Age of Wolves. This hint highlights a new item that will boost XP in exchange for salvage, the shift of 4v4 Ranked Mode from Dominion to Tribute, a new reputation level cap, and new gear progression. The season five will also be changing the training modes so that newcomers will be able to learn the game better. The newcomers will also be able to do more advanced techniques in the Apprentice Trials and the Warriors Trials as well. Advanced players will also gain something from the new update on the training modes, as they will be able to practice against specific heroes and moves that will prepare them for any potential fighting combinations in the Arena mode.

Damien Kieken, Game Director said:

“Following our launch in February 2017, our team was focused on building on the initial experience by adding new heroes, modes and continuous gameplay updates. For the beginning of 2018, we want to focus on the core experience and address player feedback by prioritizing online stability and hero balancing.”
