Nothing hurts more than the betrayal of a friend, especially when it almost gets you sent to jail. With that in mind, one particular Tennessee high schooler nearly had his life ruined by someone who was once his friend. It started when he first decided to stop doing weed and told his smoking buddy about it. However, the friend disagreed with this decision and even tried to persuade him to continue. After getting blocked for being so unsupportive, this so-called friend did something quite nefarious to get his revenge.
“I am going through my bag trying to find my AirPods, when I stumble across a weed pen. Cam’s weed cart,” Tennesseen teen explains, “Cam” being his former friend. After getting rid of the marijuana, he was called in to the school police’s office and was found clean after being searched. Later at lunch, someone else in his friend group spilled the beans about Cam’s revenge scheme: “Hey, I just wanted to let you know, Cam told me he planted weed in your bag this morning, and reported you to the SRO, he’s pretty pissed you blocked him.”
In other words, this friend was so offended that his former druggie companion refused to continue smoking and blocked him that he tried to get him both expelled and potentially arrested. For reference, weed is illegal in Tennessee. According to nashvilletnlaw.com, “weed is illegal in Tennessee no matter how you look at it,” and those found in possession of marijuana will get fined up to $2,500 and around a year of jail time. This teenager would have been in serious trouble if he had been caught with the planted drugs. On top of being expelled, there’s a high chance he would have been arrested and received a mark on his criminal record, which would mess up his entire future.
“Yeah, cut this person off immediately. That’s insane behavior,” remarks a commenter in the teen’s Reddit post about his unhinged former friend. “That’s beyond f*cked up. Why try to make someone smoke my weed when they don’t want to?” adds another. “That’s not a friend, that’s a junky who’s desperate to justify his addiction and a sh*tty person overall,” says a third.
Considering how serious things could have gotten if OP hadn’t discovered and disposed of the marijuana, he’d better be making reports to his teachers, SRO, and school principal to ensure his safety moving forward. If his smoking buddy was crazy enough to pull something like this off for getting blocked, there’s no telling what he’ll do in the future.
