We were expecting a few surprises for the Gamescom Opening Night Live of 2025, but we were not expecting it to be one of the biggest gaming shows of the whole year. There were several announcements, including new DLCs, sequels, crossovers, and dozens of world premieres. Assuming you missed the show or just want to take a look at the long list of reveals, here we have all the games that we saw during the Opening Night Live show this year.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Gamescom 2025 opened strong with the gameplay reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. While we already got a glimpse at the game a few months ago, we got an extended look and several new gameplay features coming to this highly anticipated entry. On top of that, we got a look at the upcoming maps, including Nicaragua, Los Angeles, and many others that will let you dash, glide, and sprint around as you shoot your opponents. So far, it seems like the most visually stunning Call of Duty game and one that brings the top-notch FPS we love from the series.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
A Batman game was not on anyone’s bingo card, but I’m glad we got one that combines the best things of LEGO games and the superb combat and exploration from the Arkham series. That’s right, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the most recent Batman game coming soon that will take you through the legacy of this caped crusader. Furthermore, you’ll be able to face enemies with many fighting moves similar to the Arkham games, as well as explore Gotham in all its blocky gory with several Batmobiles and Batgadgets.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4
The revival of RTS games has been happening lately, and one that will join the fray soon is Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV. The Warhammer team showed the reveal trailer during the Gamescom Opening Night Live of 2025, and it also featured a bit of gameplay that already looks like an improvement from the third installment. While we’re still far away from diving into this 40k campaign, it is great to see that this series is back on the table and looking better than ever.
Monster Hunter Wilds x FFXIV Crossover
FFXIV and Monster Hunter World veterans might remember the iconic crossover between the two, and history is about to repeat itself because Monster Hunter Wilds and FFXIV are ready for another superb crossover. Monster Hunter Wilds will get Chocobo mounts, Cactuar, and an Omega hunt, while FFXIV will get a Seikret mount and what seems to be a Guardian Arkveald fight. It is nice that these two giants are collaborating again, and we only hope this continues for a very long time.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Capcom unveiled a new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which you can watch here. To build up hype, this new Onimusha clip unveiled many of the enemies we’ll be facing, which look quite deadly and some of the most challenging in the franchise. Also, we got a glimpse at some new gameplay features and attack moves that show how engaging fighting these creatures will be once the game releases.
Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Demo
While the Arsenal armored suits are right around the corner, we won’t have to wait that long to step into them, at least for a bit. Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion announced a demo during Gamescom 2025. You’ll be able to experience the opening segment of the game, and if you’ve already pre-ordered, your progress will carry over to the main game, saving you some hours of playtime. Also, it is available on all the platforms that will house this new mecha adventure, so you can check which one will be the best for you before purchasing it.
Fallout Season 2
This might not be a game announcement per se, but it comes from a video game franchise, so you get the gist. Fallout season 2 is coming soon, and we finally got a lengthy teaser showcasing some of the key plot points of this new season, including New Vegas and what seems to be a glimpse at the deadly Deathclaw. The first season knocked it out of the park with its characters, setting, and plot, and we’re sure the same will happen once we get this new set of episodes later this year.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle DLC: The Order of Giants and Nintendo Switch 2 Release
Indy’s adventures are far from over because The Order of Giants DLC is coming soon to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. But that’s not all. We all know that this latest action/adventure game isn’t part of one platform anymore. However, it is breaking down more barriers as it will land on the Nintendo Switch 2 sometime next year. This is excellent for those who only have Nintendo’s latest console and are looking to dive into one of last year’s most memorable adventures.
World of Tanks 2.0 and World of Tanks: HEAT
World of Tanks will launch its biggest update yet, Version 2.0. It will include 16 new Tier XI tanks, all with new progression systems and mechanics. On top of that, more than 350 vehicles will get a rework to make the gameplay feel fairer for all. You can also expect UI improvements, a better Matchmaking system, a new map, and a brand-new PvE event. But there’s more coming to the series, as World of Tanks: HEAT is coming, too.
This new title will bring the strategic gameplay of World of Tanks into a more fast-paced environment. You’ll be able to experience tanks with different roles and abilities, and build your own with different systems, modules, and more. It is a new approach to the series and one that should excite all players who are looking for a faster yet equally chaotic tank experience.
Ninja Gaiden 4
We finally got the story trailer of Ninja Gaiden 4, and it hooked us just as hard as Ryu hooks enemies with his claws. In all seriousness, this trailer gave us a glimpse at the two playable characters and the history behind their clans, with the Raven one seemingly playing an even bigger role than we imagined. On top of that, we got to see even more combat moves, and even a few boss fights that will surely challenge even the most experienced shinobi out there.
Silent Hill f
Speaking of story trailers, Silent Hill f also revealed its own, and also showed the English dub coming to the game at launch. This time, we got to see Hinako in even more dangerous situations and also met a few of the characters that might be haunting this poor high schooler. There were also a few scenes focused on combat that just show Silent Hill f is going to be packed with visceral fights and the terrifying moments we love from the franchise.
Cronos: The New Dawn
Silent Hill f wasn’t the only survival horror game, however, as Cronos: The New Dawn made an eerie yet surprising appearance. We got to see more of the combat mechanics, gunplay, and some of the enemies that will be there to scare us and most likely kill us. Furthermore, we observed more of the game’s setting, which has many Control vibes but an even scarier atmosphere. While the first part of the year didn’t have a lot of horror, I’m glad the last months will be packed with some top-notch ones, such as the case of Cronos: The New Dawn.
The Outer Worlds 2
Companions are coming to The Outer Worlds 2, and just like the trailer said, “No. You can’t sleep with them.” That might be a bummer for some, but the truth is that they seem quite helpful and destructive outside of the bedroom. In all seriousness, these new companions look terrific, with different personalities and deadly skills that will help you during this sci-fi voyage. In truth, this might be one of the few games where I actually bring a companion along for the ride, as all of them seem terrific and eager to shoot some enemies at my command. You know, like any other companion should.
inZOI: Island Getaway
If you thought inZOI had been quiet for a while, that’s because it was cooking up some vacation ideas for all gamers out there. The Island Getaway DLC will arrive on August 20, and it will be free for all players. By the looks of it, you’ll be able to have some underwater adventures, harvest fruit, and just have a terrific time in this sunny paradise, unless you’re behind bars like the poor Zoi in the trailer. So, if you want to visit your Zois again, this might be the perfect time.
Fate Trigger
One of my biggest surprises of last year was Fate Trigger, as I got to play during the closed beta and experience this tactical hero-shooter with some of the most gorgeous characters out there, each one with unique combat skills. Now, we finally got some news during the Gamescom Opening Night Live, and it seems this installment is finally coming to early access during Q1 2026. So, if you’ve been eager to try a new shooter with a lot of mobility and stunning visuals, watch out for this one.
Moonlighter 2
After many trailers, previews, and news, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault finally has a release date for its early access version. It will launch on October 23, 2025, on Steam and Game Pass. You’ll be able to explore three biomes and gather over 100 relics to sell in your store. Those who’ve been waiting for this sequel should consider jumping into it during early access to see how it takes shape until its 1.0 release.
Enshrouded Update 7
One of the most unique survival crafting experiences of recent memory got its well-deserved spotlight during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, and I’m talking about Enshrouded. We’ve all seen the terrific updates of this game in the past months, but this new one might be one of the largest and most intriguing. By the looks of it, Enshrouded will get a new biome, many new building pieces, and even some underwater mechanics, but that’s just speculation from the trailer, and we’ll have to wait and see what Keen Games has in store for us.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – Legacy of the Forge
Henry is back to do what he does best, and no, I’m not talking about drinking and beating citizens up. The Legady of the Forge DLC is coming to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and it will let you renew a forge in Kuttenberg. You’ll be able to do more than just forge weapons, as this DLC will include many customization options for your forge and even your living quarters. It is uncertain how players will start this DLC, but as someone who reviewed the game, this looks like the perfect post-game activity to do for certain reasons.
World of Warcraft: Midnight
The next era of World of Warcraft is coming as we finally got the cinematic trailer of the Midnight expansion. We got to see the forces of Xal’atath attacking the Sunwell and Lady Liadrin and Lor’themar in all their cinematic glory. However, there was also a gameplay trailer you can watch here that showcases the housing system, the new Allied Race, and the upcoming Devourer specialization for Demon Hunters. So far, Midnight is shaping up to be one of the greatest expansions for this legendary MMO.
Ghost of Yotei
The latest Ghost of Yotei trailer gave us an even bigger glimpse at some of the combat, exploration, and plot points, but also featured a surprise no one was expecting: the Legends mode’s return. That’s right. Many Ghost of Tsushima players might remember how great this multiplayer mode was, and it will come to Ghost of Yotei sometime in 2026, and it will be free for anyone who purchases the game.
Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem keeps filling our heads with excitement and mystery, especially after this latest trailer. In it, we can see Grace and Alyssa Ashcroft, the latter known from Resident Evil Outbreak, as they escape from a hotel that’s being attacked by mysterious figures. We already learned that Alyssa met her demise sometime during or before Resident Evil Requiem, and this trailer confirms how it might’ve happened, as well as what led Grace to become an FBI agent. Plus, we got to see some in-game footage, as the trailer has some first-person shots of Grace walking around the hotel.
Black Myth: Zhong Kui
Game Science is back with another Black Myth title, this time called Black Myth: Zhong Kui. While it was only a teaser, we can see that it will focus on Zhong Kui, known as the vanquisher of ghosts in Chinese mythology. With how engaging Wukong was, we can expect the same for this title. Yet, it is uncertain if it will have a similar type of gameplay or something entirely different. Still, it is great to see the Black Myth series again, and while this title is still in early development, many gamers are excited to see what the studio has in store for this new adventure.
Tales of Xillia Remaster
One of the best Tales of games is getting a remaster on October 31, 2025, and I’m talking about Tales of Xillia. At the time, this one was the first game that let you pick between two protagonists, so it is great to see it under a modern spotlight. This remaster will feature new functions, such as auto-saving, early access to the Grade Shop, and bonus content, such as costumes. If you want to play one of the most unique Tales of series, this is an excellent place to start.
Elite Dangerous – Vanguards Update
While the Squadrons system has been around for some years, the Vanguards update of Elite Dangerous is revamping this feature. Players will be able to enjoy a more in-depth system when creating a Squadron, as it will add new customization features, the ability to set up goals more easily, and even share items through the new Vault and Bank mechanics. This update will be free for everyone who owns the base game, by the way, so it is a great time to gather some allies and form the most influential Squadron of the galaxy.
Out of Time
Another surprising reveal comes from Manticore Games, and it is called Out of Time. This one is a unique take on the roguelike multiplayer genre, as it puts players into a chaotic battlefield where being tethered is the best way to progress through the ongoing mayhem. You’ll be able to share buffs, healing, and other bonuses while staying close. Yet, breaking the tether might doom your whole team. You can pre-order the game right now on the Epic Games Store as you await its launch on September 25.
Jurassic World Evolution 3
Prehistoric park builders should get ready because Jurassic World Evolution 3 just unveiled two more species coming to the game. First, we have the Psittacosaurus, a bipedal dinosaur with a parrot-like beak, which will be great to be around other herbivore species. Speaking of herbivores, the Patagotitan is also joining the dinosaur roster. As one of the largest herbivores to have walked the Earth, it will be an excellent addition to any park, once it hatches from its long breeding period. But you know what they say, it pays to be patient.
Rewilders: The Lost Spring
Last, but certainly not least, we have Rewilders: The Lost Spring. This game combines open-world action roguelite elements with creature collection and Metroidvania progression, and sounds pretty interesting. On top of that, you have a unique art style and a gripping story, made by the BAFTA-winning team, Herobeat. There isn’t a release date yet, but you can wishlist the game right now, and if you’re a fan of any of the abovementioned systems, you’ll want to do it to keep up with this game’s development.
