A lot of parents have to send their kids to a daycare so they can work. When a parent does that, they believe that their kids are safe there. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for a 6-year-old girl who was at a daycare in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A twisted Black woman there attacked the young kid when she refused to sit down. The 50-year-old woman named Nakia Bartley pushed the girl to the ground and then dragged her by the legs into the bathroom. She proceeded to close the bathroom door and then punched the innocent girl in the mouth. Videos of the attack were filmed by daycare attendees. This made the mother shocked that no one decided to help her daughter who was screaming at the time. “Where’s all the other adults?” the girl’s mother asked.
This horrifying attack left the entire Pennsylvania community shocked. Thankfully, operations were halted at the daycare. According to NBC Philadelphia, Bartley was dismissed from her position following the attack. This was definitely the right decision, especially since the little girl was injured in her mouth and also had a loose tooth. What makes you angrier is that the attacker’s lawyer said that there is more to the situation than what was shared in the videos. There is nothing that would justify what Bartley did. Even if she has an “impeccable record,” as he said, she still did a horrible thing that she should be held accountable for. She is now facing seven charges including “aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of minors,” and more. What’s even more sad is that the mother and daughter are now left traumatized.
People Reacting to the Twisted Pennsylvania Black Woman’s Actions
Of course, the Pennsylvania mother wasn’t the only one left furious by the attack. People couldn’t believe that an adult who is supposed to care for children would do this. “GIRL SUE THAT WHOLE DAYCARE!!!!” one woman wrote. That is the least that the mother should do. Other women shared how they would have reacted if that were their daughter. “They would be interviewing me from jail,” one woman said. Another woman then wrote, “Baby Nakia would be resting in peace.” A third woman also said, “I wouldn’t of even made it to a interview.” Mothers are definitely allowed to defend their kids. Some people also commented on what Bartley’s lawyer said. “An ‘impeccable record.’ Please she just hasn’t been caught!” one person wrote. Another person agreed as they said, “She’s just never been caught.”
People were also upset that the Pennsylvania lawyer tried to say that there was more to the story. “There is no excuse for this behavior . Idc what that child did or said,” one person wrote. Another person said, “It doesn’t matter what the child did. Literally does not matter. Even if they were being dangerous and aggressive THIS is not how you handle it. This is not someone who is being defensive.” Mind you, the girl only refused to sit down. There is absolutely nothing that would make it okay to drag a child like that. There was also a TikTok user who believed that more safety measures should be taken. “daycares need to have a social worker or a police officer there for supervision during work hours.” That’s a good suggestion, especially since the people filming didn’t intervene. The whole thing is unfortunate.
