She has the receipts

For one woman in Ohio, who focuses on gardening content on social media, found out recently not all neighbors are your friends. In fact, some neighbors really embody that ‘mean girl’ attitude just because you have something they don’t. Some even go out of their way to be an enemy, even if you’re entirely unaware of it. Now, this influencer is wondering where she went wrong. In actuality, her mean girl neighbor was just a miserable mess.

Detria Rochelle shared her experience on TikTok, which left her pretty upset. According to Detria, her “mean girl neighbor” became her friend just to get inside her home. That’s quite the accusation, not to mention weird and invasive, but Detria has receipts to her neighbor’s gross behavior. It all started when Detria cut some hydrangeas for her neighbor, which led to them hanging out on Detria’s porch.

I will never understand people that go out of their way to be unbelievably cruel. I would never expect that type of behavior out of a grown adult woman.

After talking about gardening, TikTok, and other topics, the neighbor wanted to use Detria’s bathroom. Detria didn’t want to deny her, but she was feeling self-conscious due to house renovations. It was the neighborly thing to do, so she gave her permission. Shortly after, Detria went back into her house and found her neighbor in the unfinished kitchen. She looked as if she was pulling out her phone, but stopped when Detria appeared. Her neighbor quickly said she had to leave, acting hesitant about exchanging numbers, too.

With her number, Detria did the normal thing and texted her neighbor, saying she was grateful for the company. Her neighbor was short with her and also wanted a picture of Detria’s kitchen to “show her mom,” which Detria shot down. Over the next few days, Detria tried to text her neighbor about meeting up again for coffee. A few days later, she said she finally heard back from the neighbor and was utterly shocked. She said the neighbor sent “the nastiest text message I think I’ve ever received in my entire life.”

“Actually I’m not ever u act all high and mighty cause u have flowers in ur yard it’s a waist in this raggedy neighborhood anyway,” the text message read. She went on to call Detria’s house “ghetto” and told her to “worry about ur kitchen it’s f****d u should be ashamed.” Her neighbor was trash-talking her kitchen, telling Detria she should be embarrassed. When Detria read the message, her heart dropped. How could someone be so cruel?

Even worse, Detria admitted in her video it left feeling “self-conscious” about working in her own yard. “She’s so jealous of you,” one commenter pointed out. And they’re right! What’s even funnier (and true), her video would just be good exposure. As one viewer put it: “Little does she know this story is about to bring you and abundance to remodel your whole home,” so I hope her ‘mean girl’ neighbor is prepared to see better siding.
