How To Complete ‘Earth Reclaimed’ in Destiny 2

The Ash & Iron event is finally live on Destiny 2, and the first quest it brings to help you get familiarized with everything is “Earth Reclaimed.” Contrary to other missions in Destiny 2, this one is quite easy to finish, as it only has four steps. It might take a long time to complete, depending on your Fireteam and how good you are at the new activity, but it should be pretty straightforward for any Guardian jumping into this fight.

‘Earth Reclaimed’ Quest Guide

As mentioned above, “Earth Reclaimed” is a short quest in Destiny 2 that serves as the introduction to the new Ash & Iron event. While you could ignore it and just head straight to the fight, we recommend grabbing it, as it teaches you what this limited-time game mode is all about.

Steps 1 to 4

Successfully Secure all 4 Areas in a Reclaim Activity

This is the most important step of the quest, as it basically throws you into the activity and shows you what you have to do. From your Portal, head to the Event tab and select any of the three Reclaim missions. It doesn’t matter which, but we recommend the one with the weapon and Engram reward. Queue alone or with your Fireteam and complete all four zones. You need to fill up your bar to 1000 before moving to the next area. The final area has a boss; defeat it to complete the activity.

Claim Your First Reward From the Event Reward Track

It’s as easy as it sounds. Just head to the event screen, head to the Reward Track, and claim the first item. This will automatically complete the step.

Complete and Claim a Daily Challenge from the New Territories: Reclaim Event Home

You need to head to the Event tab and look at your daily challenges. Some might require you to run at least two Reclaim activities, while others focus on defeating enemies with a vehicle or something different. Regardless of what you have, complete one and claim your rewards to complete the quest.

Speak With Devrim Kay at EDZ

Lastly, return to EDZ and speak with Devrim Kay to complete “Earth Reclaimed.” You can still queue up for the Reclaim activities after this, though, so if you want to work on that Reward Track, head back into any of the Reclaim maps on the Event tab.

As you can see, it is a pretty straightforward quest, but one we recommend grabbing, especially if you’re a new Guardian who’s never participated in an event. After completing it, you’re free to continue grinding if you want some of the weapons and rewards that come with the event.
