Drivers arguing with cops is nothing new. However, cutting a cop off and then starting an argument is, as one TikTok user says, “a new level of bravery.” In a video posted on TikTok, one Minnesota woman went head-to-head with a local Saint Paul police officer. While she tried to argue justification for cutting off the cop, viewers had other things to say.

“Arguing with a cop while your passenger has no seatbelt on is sending me,” one user said, with a bunch of laughing emojis. Another posted a screenshot of her seemingly concerned passenger, saying, “I don’t think he’s getting in your car no more.” While many people pointed out her passenger’s reaction, the driver herself was having none of it. “He would’ve looked at me even crazier if I’d let that man play with me,” she responded.

In the video, you can see the Saint Paul police officer pull up alongside the driver. “Did you just cut me off?” He asks. “You weren’t going to let me over?” The driver responds, adding, “You could have eased up, or you could have let me over.” To this, the cop argues that she was already speeding. In a bold and confident choice, the driver responds, “You could have let me over, sir,” before the video ends.

Some commented on the cop’s attitude, questioning whether he even remembered he was a cop. “Not him arguing instead of pulling you over. I like him,” one user says. Another commented, “I feel like he was so mad that he forgot he was a cop.” To this, one person added, “He was just annoyed; he didn’t want to do paperwork, but wanted to express himself.” Most viewers commented on the courage it takes to argue with police, specifically those in Minnesota. “Arguing with the Saint Paul police is a new level of bravery,” one user eloquently summed up.
