Florida Horror Icon Takes to TikTok to Mock Next Victim: ‘Now Mara, What Did We Learn?’

Why would she even say that

There are plenty of horror movies based on real-life people or events. However, I don’t know of too many films that leave the big screen and haunt you in real life. One woman awoke the Florida horror legend Jeepers Creepers after a viral video of her saying she would be able to beat him in a fight. Now, Big Jeep himself has a TikTok account and has posted videos telling that girl to wait until he catches her. I hope she remembers to go into hiding every 23rd spring.

A TikTok user by the name of Mara, who goes by @ressecupqueen on the social platform, posted a video saying that she would be able to take on Jeepers Creepers in a fight. Out of context, of course, she’d be able to defeat some fictional horror film monster. In context, she made the worst possible decision ever when it came to posting that video. Commentators came in droves to mock the girl, with one of the top comments saying, “Me watching jeepers creepers take you🤣🤣.”

For those who do not know, the film Jeepers Creepers follows college students trapped in a whirlwind experience involving a creature known as the Creeper. Every 23rd spring for 23 days, the Creeper arises from wherever he’s from to feast on human body parts. So, I’m not really sure why this girl thinks he would be an easy target to take on.

Little did Mara know that her video would spark the real Jeepers Creepers to arise from his weird Florida grave to make a TikTok account of his own. In the above video, you can see a man in a full Jeepers Creepers costume, looking over an image of Mara with the words ‘Celebrating the Life of Mara’ written above it and holding black and white balloons. The caption for the video says, “Pre service for Mara.” Under the video, there were even more comments telling Mara to run, with my personal favorite being, “Now Mara, what did we learn?“

Another one of my favorite comments includes an image of a man holding several plates of food at a party, saying, “Me enjoying the food 😭,” in reference to Mara’s pre-service. Despite there being so much angst and worry in the world, it’s hilarious that a community of people who don’t know one another can get together to have a bit of fun. Let’s hope Mara thinks twice the next time she decides to post about whom she can take down.
