A Texas man has gone viral after he was filmed telling an American citizen to “go back” to their “country,” adding that the U.S. “isn’t Mexico.”
The Public Freakout subreddit went wild earlier this week, when footage of a man, whose overweight BMI was mentioned in the comments, was caught making racist remarks to someone who has every right to be in the U.S. The young man, who wore a sleeveless shirt and shorts as he was spotted in a grocery store parking lot, was clearly angry, but the “what did you say?” response from the woman he was speaking to said it all. Fans quickly sided with the victim of the man’s racist remarks, with the top reply reading: “Why do the people who think they’re better than everybody else always seem like they just climbed out from under a bridge.”

Not looking in a great mood and apparently not aware that he was being filmed, the man, who was young, wore a gray wife-beater and lightweight shorts as he was seen by his vehicle.
“Go back to Mexico, this is America, freedom of speech!” he said, adding that he could “tell you to go back to Mexico if I wanted to.”
The woman recording the video, horrified, asked the man to repeat himself, saying: “What did you say?” The reply was to “go back to your country.”
Mumbling to himself, the man, who had Texas license plates, said that this was America, and not Mexico. Click here for the video.
The Internet Goes Wild, Remarks On His Weight
When the footage was shared, fans didn’t take long to react. Some mentioned the man’s weight, with one Reddit user saying, “Well, just look at him. He’s clearly not one to opt for the extra steps necessary for weight loss..”
Blaming President Donald Trump and the current wave of ICE deportations, another wrote: “This is the obvious consequence of Trump and his administration demonizing a group of people.” An estimated 200,000 people have been deported under ICE during Trump’s second administration. Protests against ICE continue throughout America, although this man didn’t mention them.
One fan also thought that the man was being sexist and would “never have said that” to a man. The man in question has not been identified, but the footage has definitely gone viral.
