Not many people enjoy seeing kids at restaurants. Sometimes they have a valid point because of how many kids misbehave. After all, when you go out to a public space, you likely want to just have fun and not witness chaos. Now, there is a new reason that will make you not a fan of seeing kids at restaurants. An irresponsible California family took their child to a restaurant and ignored what he was doing completely. They let him do what he wanted to and his actions weren’t exactly great. The boy decided to get on top of the chair and reach out to a shelf behind their table. Guess what was there? The restaurant’s water pitcher. It’s not used by one person, no, but the waiters use it to fill all customers’ water glasses.
You might think that nothing is wrong with the California kid going near the pitcher, but he didn’t just do that. He decided to take a straw, suck it, and then put it inside the pitcher. So he basically contaminated the water. I wish that he had stopped at the straws, but unfortunately, he didn’t. He then put his hand into the water pitcher to take ice cubes and eat them. All of this was happening while his family was having dinner. None of them told him to stop. If you don’t want to raise children and teach them what’s right and wrong then why do you even have children? It would have been a lot better if he were the kind of kid who simply ran around the place.
People Reacting to the Irresponsible California Family
No one was impressed by the California family or their kid. What he did was super unhygienic so you can understand the rage people had. Since the boy didn’t look young to the point of not understanding what’s right and wrong, one woman wrote, “Mind you he is NOT a toddler.” Another person got the kid’s age wrong, but their heart was in the right place. “There is NO conversation so deep that you don’t see your 14 year old sitting on top of the booth eating ice out a chalice,” they said. Some people also had extreme reactions, as one person wrote, “I would have called the cops.” In addition to this, when someone said, “I hope you showed this to management,” another person replied by saying, “Why stop there? CPS too.”
For some unknown reason, people brought race into the conversation since the California family was White. “Not surprised-sincerely a server who’s tired of everyone acting like it’s POC when it’s really the other way around,” one woman wrote. Black people also left comments of their own, as one person said, “theres two adults at his booth. Usual suspects as well.” Another person then said, “Ugh. The FATIGUE..” There was one woman who also criticized White people. “They always in everybody business until it comes to regulating their own,” she wrote. The kid’s behavior and his family ignoring him shouldn’t be accepted no matter what race they are. What should be the focus here is the fact that the family didn’t care about their kid or that he was doing some incredibly unhygienic.
