Dealing with customers can be frustrating, especially when you’re faced with someone acting completely out of control. That’s precisely what some unlucky California employees experienced when an out-of-control woman stormed into their boba shop.
The video doesn’t capture the entire incident, but it shows enough to make it clear that the woman was far from well. Standing at the counter, she began harassing the staff and accusing them of committing illegal activities. Illegal things in a boba shop, of all places?
She certainly didn’t look like someone with authority or even stability, but that didn’t stop her from claiming she worked for the police. To make matters worse, she insisted that the only reason officers hadn’t shut the shop down was because of her. Not only was she impersonating a cop, but she actually seemed to expect gratitude for it.
The California employees managed to keep their calm despite the situation they found themselves in. One of them asked her to show them a badge and an ID, but her response was “I don’t need to.” I have to applaud the employee because he still told her that he could take her order if she wanted to order something. Instead of just leaving, the woman made the whole thing get even more insane. “I own you,” she told him twice before telling his coworker, “and I own you.” Her insanity just kept going as she then said, “This is my world.” At that moment, the coworker couldn’t help but laugh. The video then ended before you could see what happened next. There were some people, though, saying that the police were called, and she left immediately when that happened. So, who was a cop again?

People could agree on one thing after seeing the video, and that was that the California woman was unhinged. Since the employees stayed calm, one person wrote, “my anger problems could never.” Yeah, not a lot of people would have stayed quiet. Another person found the woman’s ownership claims to be wild. “‘I own you” is wild….,” they said. Thankfully, one of the store’s employees added more context to the situation as they wrote, “I work there, she ask for a free popcorn chicken and leftovers but we didn’t give her so she start being aggressive then we call cops she ran away as soon as she heard that we called the cops.” Someone then assumed that she was on drugs, which made them joke and say, “Just mething around.” That could be true.
More people shared their opinion on the California women. Some comments blamed the current administration for people like these existing. “Republicans being republicans!!!” one person wrote. Another person then said, “This is how Pam Bondi speaks to people.” Someone else believed that this is an example of what America has become under Trump. “Trump’s America plain and simple,” they wrote. Others focused on how the woman’s behavior could be because she was struggling mentally. This is why one person wrote, “Cutting mental health services was a mistake.” Since some people tried to justify the woman’s behavior, claiming it was mental health, someone else wrote, “I’ve got mental illnesses and so does other people, I’ll never excuse bad behavior because of mental illness. If you’re a bad person then you’re a bad person there is no excuses.” She shouldn’t have acted like this.
