Like any proper roguelike, Absolum brings a lot of different currencies that you can use to purchase upgrades and other items to help you during your runs, one of which is Imbued Fruits. Initially, you’ll be earning a lot of these items, but there won’t be a way to use them until you reach a specific part of the game and recruit an NPC to your sanctuary. To make the process of spending these items faster, here’s a guide on how to get and use Imbued Fruits in Absolum.
Where To Use Imbued Fruits
By now, you might’ve noticed that each time you finish a run and return to the hub, your Radiance level increases, and with each level, you’ll get one of two items, with one being an Inbued Fruit.
At first, there won’t be any way to use any of the Inbued Fruits in Absolum, and it might be a while until you can actually spend them on something because you need one specific NPC to do the job for you.
To use them, you must complete the game’s first area and arrive at Jaroba. Go through this zone until you encounter a few caged NPCs. Defeat the enemies first and then open the cages. One of the NPCs that will appear is Vikhana the Joyful, who will head to your sanctuary to offer her services.
Once you return to the hub, speak with Vikhana to use your Inbued Fruits to upgrade your Rituals and unlock new ones. Each upgrade and unlock costs one Inbued Fruit, but getting them is pretty easy, as they often come from leveling up your Radiance and completing a few achievements.
It is important to remember that, while you can unlock several Rituals and upgrade some of them, the effects will only activate once you encounter the Ritual during your run. You can even unlock some Rituals that combine the effects of two, such as Water bubbles leaving a trail of Fire.
Lastly, as a general recommendation, focus on unlocking everything on one element first. You should focus on the one that fits your gameplay better, and don’t worry if there are some Rituals you can’t see yet; they will appear in due time as you continue doing some runs.
