She really needed to hear that

Uber drivers are always looking out for people. There have been multiple times we’ve heard about drivers being overly cautious regarding safety protocols and reporting something that seems out of the ordinary. But what happens when an Uber driver is so moved by a passenger’s behavior that they feel they just have to say something? That’s what happened when a California woman was pulled aside by an Uber driver – and what she told her moved her to tears.

Mia (@piabaroncini) posted a TikTok video captioned, “Davide took an Uber home the other night and the driver got out of the car and said she wanted to talk to me.” Davide, Mia’s husband, was on a trip and came home in an Uber. Mia was caught off guard when the Uber driver, a female black woman, pulled her aside. Davide parted ways so the two ladies could have a private talk.

The Uber driver immediately started by saying, “I’ve done almost 5,000 rides.” She then goes on to tell Mia, “Your husband has such a light.” At this point, Mia puts her hand on the driver’s shoulder. She starts getting tears in her eyes because she’s so moved. She thanks her for pulling her aside to tell her this. You can tell that Mia sees this as the moment where she knows she chose the right man.

The Uber driver goes on to tell Mia that he’s “quintessential, very conscious.” He also “talked about” Mia in such a positive way. It’s at this point that Mia pulls the driver in for a hug. The driver ends by telling her, “Sometimes you need to hear it from other people.” You can tell that it meant so much to her to be treated so well by a passenger. She simply had to repeat that information.

One commenter stated, “She speaks with such INTENTION, you can tell she NEEDED you to hear that.” Another person said, “This is beautiful. What a precious gift from a stranger.” Even if Mia already knows that her husband is a wonderful person, it doesn’t hurt to hear that he holds others in high regard as well. If even an Uber driver was moved by his personality and generosity in the short amount of time knowing him, that speaks volumes. There are good people in this world.
