An Illinois born attorney reacted to a rather ridiculous comment on Threads, posting it on TikTok for the internet to see. The response was poignant, with many rallying behind her message—and this was all while baking some delicious-looking lemon cookies.

Posted by TikTok user Thekoreanvegan (Joanne Molinaro)—a triple threat writer, attorney, and blogger—shared a comment she saw on Threads, which was posted by a man. The phrase ‘not all men’ seemed to really get under his skin. The post reads: “I am now blocking each and every person on Threads who even hints about presuming that just because I am male I am a ‘danger to society,’ just because some other men are. And that I somehow ‘bear the responsibility of their actions.’ I find it utterly insulting and shockingly ignorant.”

Joanne uses the guy’s rather defensive words against him after reading them aloud to her audience: “I find it utterly insulting and shockingly ignorant…,” she says in her TikTok video, before giving multiple reasons why women have every right to be wary of men. She brought up ex-politicians Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales, both of whom have resigned due to allegations of sexual misconduct, statistics of Gen Z agreeing that wives should obey their husbands, sexual abuse allegations against Cesar Chavez, and Donald Trump’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

“God forbid we take up even one precious iota of the human agenda to discuss how the [expletive] we arrived what is indeed a hellscape for women,” Joanne says in her TikTok video. She calls out the original Threads poster, Djdavidcraddock, for playing the victim, “instead of the 300 million women who will be assaulted this year.”

Joanne makes it clear her response isn’t about labeling every man a “rapist.” But the fact that she has to clarify at all because of men like DJdavidcraddock is why women are being ignored. “So that’s great. You didn’t rape a woman. Good for you for satisfying the lowest [expletive] bar. Here’s a cookie.” And they’re fresh out of the oven!

How People Reacted to Joanne’s TikTok Video

Not only did many in the comments agree with Joanne’s messaging, but viewers also shared their support by expressing ways they help make the world a little safer. And naturally, some TikTok users took turns shaming DJ for his overly sensitive Threads post.

Many viewers were inspired by Joanne and shared that they felt safer because she had spoken up. “Your anger makes me feel safe. Truly. Thank you,” TikTok user LaSabrosa wrote, while another said, “Your rage resonates with so many of us. Thank you for speaking our words and giving voice to our silent screams.” Joanne responded to the second comment with hearts and a fist in solidarity.

Others were absolutely disgusted by the existence of the ‘rape academy,’ which CNN exposed and reported on. “It was more than 80 million visits the following month,” one TikTok user wrote. Truly emphasizing the depravity of these predators and justifying Joanne’s response.

One TikTok user even shared that they followed Joanne for her “amazing vegan recipes,” but “stayed because of the activism.” Some who were just discovering Joanne followed immediately just for her clapback video. And if her response is anything to go by, those lemon cookies are going to be good, too.
