After months of pre-registration buzz, Yostar’s latest gacha game Stella Sora has launched worldwide. But some part of the fanbase is still wondering one thing: can you actually play it on Steam? With Blue Archive eventually released on Steam years after its mobile debut, fans are hopeful that this dungeon-crawling game will follow. Here’s everything we know about Stella Sora‘s current platforms and Steam PC release chances.
Is Stella Sora on Steam?

No, at launch, Stella Sora is only available on Android, iOS, and Windows PC, but without a Steam page at the moment. Instead, the PC version is distributed through a Windows launcher available on the game’s official website: stellasora.global.
That means if you want to play this anime dungeon crawler on PC, you’ll have to download and install the client manually. Similar to Arknights and Alchemy Stars, Yostar confirmed that the current PC version only supports Windows devices.
That means, if you’re a Linux user, you’re out of luck — at least officially. While Stella Sora doesn’t have native Linux support, some players have reported success using Lutris to bypass compatibility issues. Although you will need to run it straight from the StellaSora.exe instead of the StellaSora_EN_Gamelauncher.exe launcher file.
Could Stella Sora Come to Steam Later?

If we take Blue Archive, another Yostar game, as an example, then that’s definitely not off the table. Blue Archive took nearly three and a half years — it launched on mobile in November 2021 and didn’t get its Steam version until July 2025.
Given that Stella Sora already has a standalone Windows client, a future Steam release isn’t impossible. It could follow the same trajectory, or even release even faster, once Yostar stabilizes its global operation for this game.
For now, Stella Sora players who expected a Steam release should use the official Windows PC launcher from the website. Considering Yostar’s track record with Blue Archive, don’t rule out a future Steam port. Just don’t expect it to drop anytime soon.
