It became a regular occurrence to see people on TikTok sharing their day at work. Sometimes, though, this kind of video could end badly for its owners. This was the case with a Maryland lash technician who shared a video of her heading to her “salon.” The video was about her going to work after a client didn’t show up or even call. You might think of feeling bad for her, but you would probably change your mind once you see where she works. It turned out that she operates out of a storage unit. I’m almost sure that this is illegal. The short video showed her heading to the storage unit and opening it up.
Inside the Maryland lash technician’s storage unit, you could see a chair, some equipment, a mirror, and some other stuff. There is no bathroom which is probably required when you work this job. Plus, is there even good ventilation in there? Of course, most of those who saw the video believed that the woman working in a storage unit was not safe at all. Instead of agreeing to this, she simply posted another video of her working on a client while there. I could understand why the client mentioned in the first video didn’t show up. The girl probably thought she was going to get kidnapped or something.
People Reacting to the Maryland Lash Technician’s Storage Unit
After seeing the Maryland lash technician’s video, people made sure to drag her for working at a storage unit. She kind of made it worse for herself with the way she was replying badly to anyone who criticized her. Since her workplace didn’t look safe, several people threatened to file a complaint. One person even said, “Call State Board immediately.” Her only response was telling them to “Call please.” Another person wrote, “Saw D(M)V and immediately knew as someone from DM(V). I love calling the Maryland State Board bc legally you cannot conduct business here WITHOUT A FREAKING BATHROOM.” More people left comments confirming that they would call the State Board. “She probably isn’t licensed to begin with!” one woman added.
More people mentioned how wrong this was, as one person asked, “Um ain’t this illegal?” Another person informed the technician, “you cannot conduct business in your storage unit…” Someone then named some of the things that are wrong here and asked, “no proper ventilation, no running water fire an safety exits ?” Several comments also joked about why the client didn’t show up. “I would think I’m being abducted,” one comment read. There was one TikTok user who tried to be kind while saying, “Girl.. idk. No hate, take this as constructive criticism to grow your business but yeah.. I’d also no show if I pulled up to a storage unit and only because of safety concerns as a woman.” It is definitely a scary place to go to as a woman. Not to mention that it’s most likely not particularly hygienic.
