A student in Pennsylvania has blasted her former roommate, whom she labeled a “freak,” accusing her of weird behavior, going through her stuff, and using her vape pen. The internet responded to her story with mixed reactions.

The whole drama was posted to TikTok by user elle.shmelle.2 (Elle), which has garnered tens of thousands of likes in two days. Elle detailed how she found out she was sharing a room with a random person, another Pennsylvania State University student. She said her roommate “looked like a freak” after she looked at her Instagram when she reached out to her.

Many interpreted Elle’s words as rude, but things were just getting started. Despite her beliefs, the roommate in question was actually pretty normal. At least, initially. Elle continued her story by saying that her roommate started “making comments that were weird.” Then she started “playing super victim” when she noticed that Elle and other students were getting close, even though she rarely hung out with them.

At one point, the roommate left a group chat that other PSU students shared, and things got worse by the second. According to Elle, she once found her room filled with smoke and was “shocked” that the fire alarm didn’t go off.

“She vaped so much that our room smelled like that pungent fruit smell from a vape,” Elle said. “No one wanted to come in my room.”

Vape Cart Incident, Reactions

After telling her to open a window, things appeared to de-escalate. However, days later, Elle found that one of her vape cartridges (cart) had been emptied. She immediately suspected that her roommate was behind it, but didn’t confront her. Instead, Elle decided to move the cart to a different spot.

A day later, Elle went to class but returned shortly after to change. That’s when she found her roommate going through her stuff, which, of course, enraged her, she said. Finally, Elle confronted her roommate, who then confessed to using her vape cart. The woman agreed to pay Elle back, but then she had an odd request that further angered the TikToker.

“Hey Elle, can I maybe keep that one [the used cart] ’cause I got you a new one?” the roommate said, as per Elle, who then answered, “Christina, you’re crazy. No.”

Many people commented on Elle’s video, some bashing her for her attitude. One user said, “It’s so obvious ur leaving stuff out come on.” Another one commented, “What does look like a freak mean… hey.” A third one added, sarcastically, “She is most definitely a ray of sunshine.”

However, the majority of users were shocked by the Pennsylvania roommate’s alleged actions. One person said, “Freshman year roomies are always the worst.” Another one wrote, “If someone cheifed my pen without my permission I would go manic.” A third one added, “This is a main reason why I commute to college.”

Eventually, the roommate moved out before saying goodbye to Elle, ending their drama for good.
