It’s very well known that the father and daughter have been at odds against each other for years, with Meghan wanting very little to do with Thomas. However, word got out that she had her minions reach out to her dad, but then, it turned out that they didn’t. It’s a confusing situation, for sure.
First, The Times had reported that Meghan Markle’s aides had contacted Thomas Markle to check up on him. Many other outlets rolled with this information, more or less, and it became the truth of what happened. But now, The Express has shared a different story, with a Sussex spokesperson refuting the claim that Meghan’s staff reached out to her dad. “This is a complete fabrication,” the source remarked, saying that it was all a lie.

But wait, there’s more: “I can confirm she has reached out to her father,” was what the spokesperson said in a follow-up statement. Simply put, a source came out saying her aides reached out, then it was clarified she hadn’t, but actually she had, albeit without the use of her aides, possibly. Wording, of course, is very important in these statements; with the details left out, people are left to their imagination as to what’s going on.

We’ve heard this all before, though. Meghan Markle’s team claimed that they signed a paper saying they didn’t want their photos taken at Kris Jenner’s party. However, the truth revealed that such a thing didn’t happen, and this consent form didn’t exist. Then, we had the Variety dress controversy, which was also clarified to not be true, but ‘true’ in a different way than many thought. It’s mental gymnastics at this point, and the internet is getting a headache from trying to follow this PR mess.
