A lot of restaurants could have good reviews but still be disgusting, and customers aren’t aware of that. Even if the food tasted bad, most customers would leave and avoid eating there again. Well, a Washington woman had another way to approach this. She shared a video saying that she went to a Mexican restaurant called Fiesta Taqueria & Tequila Bar. For some reason, the food she ordered didn’t look or smell good. Instead of getting up and leaving, she sneaked into the kitchen only to find a disgusting surprise waiting for her. She quickly found out why the food was terrible. It is hard to count all the health violations found in that kitchen.
Some of the disgusting stuff the Washington woman claims she found was that all the food containers were stacked on top of each other. This meant that any container could get contaminated by the container on top of it. Plus, none of the containers were covered, making them easy targets for dirt. In addition, the shelves were quite rusty. It’s been a while since I saw this amount of rust in one place. The problems didn’t end at that. They also left a spatula and a scoop inside some of the food containers. Usually, utensils shouldn’t be left there, especially since they could harbor bacteria from staff hands. They also didn’t have labels or dates on any of the containers. Even the floor was dirty. Thankfully, she did call the Health Department after what she saw.
People Reacting to the Washington Woman’s Discovery
It is safe to say that people were absolutely disgusted by the Washington woman’s video. Since it was a Mexican restaurant, some comments told her to contact ICE such as one saying, “A hell to the nawww call ICE asap!!” Even a Mexican person told her, “That’s not how Mexican food is done. Whatsoever. As a Mexican call 911.” The racism directed toward Mexican people quickly shifted and was directed at Indians instead. This is because the owner is Indian. “Is this the same owner of Karma Indian Cuisine?” one woman asked. Someone else talked about Indians and the restaurant itself, saying, “They be so nasty, just think of the Dunkin Donuts they own. My friend worked there and said they keep the dish water for like three days to save on water. She said it is pure disgusting.”
More people left comments under the Washington woman’s video. One person who worked at the same restaurant revealed that it has always been like this. “I worked here‼‼ This is RXACTLY HOW IT IS,” they wrote. Another person wanted to be allowed to enter a restaurant’s kitchen before eating there. “I think we should all be allowed to have a quick peak at the kitchen before we sit down and order,” they said. That wouldn’t be so bad. Someone else who is used to going to restaurants said that this isn’t the first time he saw something like this as they commented, “I deliver to places like this all the time i just dont want to do videos because I feel like they will back track to me and my company will fire me.” Yeah, maybe people need to be careful when they go out to eat.
