Every year, The Game Awards kills it with dozens of new games presented during the show, and of course, the awards. But they’re also the ideal stage for companies of all sizes to show off new trailers or news that takes everyone by surprise. And many gamers were shocked to see Diana open a firewall in Steam to introduce PRAGMATA as a demo, for now.
During the announcement of the 2025 GOTY, right after the award ceremony for the Best Esports team, the show continued with a trailer for Capcom’s new IP, PRAGMATA. The trailer not only showcases more features of the cyberworld and its gameplay. Also, it tests your hacking skills and pushes both hemispheres of your brain to the limit. But the biggest surprise was that, at the end of the trailer, the Capcom team added that PRAGMATA SKETCHBOOK, a demo available only on Steam, is coming. The best part is that this demo is available right now as you read this article.
Not only that, but at the end of the trailer, all the consoles on which the game will be available are shown. Steam, PlayStation, and XBOX were already confirmed in previous trailers. In this announcement during the GOTY, Nintendo’s two handheld consoles also appeared. So practically everyone will have access to this highly anticipated game.
Of course, we mustn’t forget that PRAGMATA is scheduled for release on April 24, 2026, if the servers don’t overheat. Pre-orders are also available now, which include special outfits for the protagonists, Hugh and Diana, inspired by cyber ninjas and samurai.
Meanwhile, PC gamers no longer have an excuse not to try out some of PRAGMATA’s technological wonders until next April, with this demo from Capcom. Another thing you won’t want to miss is our other updates on The Game Awards 2025.
