Nativity scenes are usually a highlight for parents, especially when they take place at a school. Many families show up excited to watch their children reenact the classic holiday story. But at one school in Nevada, parents got a performance they definitely weren’t expecting. Someone in the audience captured video of two kids on stage who completely abandoned their roles and instead focused on each other. One boy was dressed as a bull, the other as a pig, and the two stood side by side before things quickly went off script. It wasn’t clear what sparked the moment, but whatever the reason, the interaction stole the show. Rather than throwing punches, the boys began slapping at each other’s costumes, turning what was supposed to be a nativity scene into an unexpectedly entertaining showdown.
The two Nevada boys then kneeled during the performance, but that didn’t stop them from continuing what they’d started. They slapped each other again before the bull tried to take off the pig’s outfit and started pulling it. The bull then gained the upper hand as he pushed the other boy to the floor of the stage. After a few seconds, the pig, who was definitely losing, managed to get up and walk away. The fight wasn’t just entertaining to the crowd, who could be heard laughing. It was also entertaining to the other kids on the stage. There was one girl in the background who was singing, and she did her best to stop herself from laughing.
There was also a boy sitting next to the two fighters, and he had to cover his mouth to hide his laugh. The only one who didn’t look impressed was a third boy sitting behind them. At least the performance was unique with this surprising addition. You just have to wonder why the teachers acted like it was part of the script, since none of them intervened throughout the video. There was only one woman at the front who tried to pull one of the boys away, but to no avail.
People Reacting to the Nevada School’s Nativity Scene
People reacted differently toward the Nevada school’s nativity scene. Some found it funny, while others believed that someone should have intervened. Most of those who laughed about it were moms, including one who said, “I wish I had that kind of entertainment at my kids school.” Another mom wrote, “As a mom to 3 boys. Those have to be brothers.” They did look alike. Even grandparents found the fight funny, such as one who said, “As a parent, these moments were devastating! But, as a grandparent all I can do is keep laughing!” Someone else joked, “They said instead of nativity we’ll be showing you Cain and Abel.”
On the other hand, many comments didn’t like what happened at the Nevada school. “Why isn’t an adult stopping this? That’s not funny, that’s a bad parenting decision that’s going to lead to the children thinking this is okay to do,” one person wrote. A mom also said, “Those look like brothers and as a parent I would have been up there instantly to take care of that problem, but most parents now think stuff like this is cute.” Someone else added, “That should have been addressed immediately‼! I can’t believe the teachers and staff‼! It’s not funny, it’s bullying.” There was also a debate over who was at fault, with some blaming the parents and others the teachers. I mean, no one was harmed, though.
