Disgraced rapper Sean Diddy Combs has taken a huge hit just a week into the New Year, and he is likely not very happy about it. The 56-year-old music mogul reached out late last year to President Donald Trump with a personal request for a pardon, looking for his former friend to act as his saving grace.

Insiders say Diddy allowed himself to believe that his relationship with Donald Trump might save him from serving out his sentence. However, it looks like he will now need a new plan.
Donald Trump confirmed in a recent interview that he received a letter from Combs seeking clemency. However, he has no intention of granting a pardon, according to the National Enquirer. “I was very friendly with him,” Trump told reporters, “but when I ran for office, he was very hostile.”
Combs is currently incarcerated at the low-security Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey. He is serving time for two counts of transportation for prostitution.
Sean Diddy Combs To Remain Behind Bars
He was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges. His sentence still totals more than four years, with a projected release now set for June 4, 2028. Reports indicate that Diddy lives in a dorm-style unit with nine other men. He spends his days working in the prison chapel library.
Diddy’s dashed pardon hopes may have ripple effects beyond just himself. Sources suggest that former That ’70s Show star Danny Masterson, whose own legal troubles have garnered significant media attention, had been watching Diddy’s situation closely.

He was possibly hoping that a presidential pardon could offer him a lifeline as well. With Donald Trump’s decision, any lingering optimism Masterson might have harbored now faces a serious reality check, and he may have to face a life in prison, with little hope of an early release.
This turn of events is a huge blow for Diddy. But as far as most everyone else is concerned. Most believe it is a hard and grim dose of reality and personal responsibility. For now, it looks like Sean Diddy Combs will remain behind bars, facing the consequences of his actions head-on.
