Boomers often have a reputation for being miserable. Despite many being at the age of retirement or enjoying theirs already, they should know better, and they at the same time complain about the behavior of younger generations. One elderly California woman decided to show her ugly, racist side when a Black woman was allegedly parked in the wrong area at McDonald’s.
TikToker Nyy2raaw, Pvamu, shared the video of her enraging encounter on social media, as well as a response video. In her initial video, music is playing in the background, when suddenly an elderly White woman starts shouting. “You are parked illegally,” she says to Pvamu so angrily she’s shaking. She also threatens to “report this” to the police.
“You don’t belong here,” the woman says. “I don’t know where you’re from, but go away.”
At this point, Pvamu has heard enough and she rolls down her window. She asks her, “I don’t belong here because I’m Black? Because I’m Black?! Bye!”
The woman still doesn’t get it and continues, “You should be in jail!” It’s at this point she decides to walk away as Pvamu mocks her further. She came up to Pvamu’s window acting all tough but then didn’t have what it takes to back it up after showing her true colors.
In a follow-up video, Pvamu says this started when she parked her vehicle to correct her order. As usual, McDonald’s had given her the wrong order. What did the old lady think Pvamu was doing? And if it was illegal, like she was accusing Pvamu of doing, why did she get involved? Why should Pvamu be in jail for parking in the wrong space? Better question: why bother in the first place?
One commenter shared with Pvamu, “I would’ve turned the music back up.” This woman didn’t deserve even a second of her time.
Another person shared, “Don’t give them the reaction they want. Need to start asking them people are they ok? And then say, ‘You don’t seem well.’” You have to be, right? If you can’t control yourself just seeing a Black person in a parking lot, minding their business, maybe you need a mental health day.
