Little Free Library in Arizona is Vandalized By Repeat Offender Blasting Fox News, ‘Put this in the neighborhood Facebook group’

If that isn’t stealing, I don’t know what is

Little Free Libraries have become a vital part of so many communities across the U.S. Promoting a love for reading and putting books into the community for those in need is such an underappreciated benefit. However, these wonderful little boxes of imagination are not exempt from vandalism. That is, if you’re that heartless. In Arizona, a woman talks about how her neighborhood Little Free Library has been vandalized by a woman who “won’t leave us alone.”

TikToker Dsbookbooklflphx, Danielle, whose content revolves around the Little Free Library, is fed up the book box getting vandalized. In her video, she opens up the Little Free Library, which is completely emptied and looking worse for wear. There’s also a note taped to the front, which reads, “Our library has been wiped clean twice a week and we know who did it!”

According to Danielle, the one taking the stuff is also the one destroying the book box. Much of the wallpaper, which you see at the start, has been peeled away, doors were left open while it was raining, and broke one of the shelves. Danielle then shows two separate videos of an SUV pulling up to the library, a woman getting out, and raiding the Free Little Library. Strangely, the first time you can hear choral music and, according to Danielle, Fox News.

As one commenter put it, “I didn’t realize there was a movement of people actively committed to keeping banned books out of neighborhoods…”

They called the police not just because of this woman taking the books but because it seems like she’s targeting their residence. The police found out where the woman lives and found some concerning things written on their front door.

In a follow-up video, the owner of the library shows the front door, which is covered in cryptic phrases like “terrible neighborhood” and “not friendly beware!”

It’s disturbing, to say the least. However, the police weren’t able to do much since no threatening behavior took place, in their eyes. Apparently, the vandalism wasn’t enough.

Well, if the police won’t do anything, the community might. Several commenters suggested social pressure.

“Put this in the neighborhood Facebook group.”

“Public shame can be helpful since the police refuse to help.”

“Put a picture of her taking all the books in each of the cabinets.”

““Smile you’re on camera” sign may be all it takes to stop this.”

Another person shared, “I was so excited to buy my first home and put one up… It lasted a week. I was devastated.” In a picture comment, she shows the entire bookshelf was removed from its post and taken. It’s pretty sad what miserable people do with their time. Not to mention children lose out the most.
