While waiting for her food to be delivered, a mother in Atlanta, Georgia, received a message from her DoorDash driver, an 8-month-pregnant woman. Moved by her request for old baby clothes, she decided to surprise her with way more than she asked for, leading to an emotional moment.
The touching exchange was shared on TikTok by tajthelifestylist (Taj). She shared the pregnant DoorDasher’s message, where the lady asked for “any old baby clothes that you’re no longer using and you want to get rid of.” She, being 8 months pregnant with a baby boy, made the request, not expecting a response.
Taj, a mother of three herself, was moved by her text. She grabbed old shoes, baby powder, lotion, and many other items, and stuffed them in a bag. Later, she explained that she normally ignores any DoorDash messages, but she was glad that she didn’t this time around.
“I don’t have much because I had three girls, back to back to back,” the Georgia woman added. “So I got what I can, and hopefully it helps.”
Eventually, the DoorDash driver arrived, and Taj, excited, opened the door. Both greeted each other, and then the sweet moment occurred. After she explained that she had three daughters, Taj handed the bag to the pregnant lady. Moved, she said, “Oh my goodness, I appreciate that! Are you sure?“
After placing the items in her car, the DoorDash driver returned the bag and hugged Taj. She then said, “I know it wasn’t much, but I’m just happy that I was able to help just a little bit.“
