Alabama Woman So Frustrated by Walmart Pickup That She Takes Matters into Her Own Hands, ‘Was David Working from Home Maybe?’

Turns out, most of it was in stock

Walmart Pickup is incredibly convenient for so many people. When individuals utilize these services, they pick the items they want online. An associate then shops for you and all you have to do is pull up in your vehicle. The rest is history as they load the groceries directly into your car, which was especially helpful during Covid. However, one Alabama woman was less than impressed when she used Walmart pickup services. It’s clear that her associate shopper may have been sleeping on the job.

Haley (@haley.teague) shared what happened when she placed an online Walmart order and expected to easily pick up her groceries at the store. However, she was shocked when her shopper, David, responded that nearly everything she wanted was out of stock! Now, she thought better of this, as some of these items are always in stock at her local Walmart. So, she hopped in her car and drove to Walmart herself, which she wanted to avoid after a long, busy day. She decided to do some investigating to see if the items were actually in stock and David was just taking the easy way out.

Does this ever happen to anyone else? Do you ever place an online order for the delivery person just to say it is out of stock when you know for fact, it is not out of stock? #walmart #walmartdelivery #scam #foryourepage#customerservice

Within the first minute of David picking out Haley’s groceries, she said she received notifications that tons of items were allegedly out of stock. In the video, she walks through her Walmart to find out if the items are there or not. These included chips, crackers, and mayonnaise – which are typically always in stock. She claims that the problem here is likely that “David is just too lazy to find them.”

Haley goes into the cracker store and finds the crackers she ordered online but David claimed were out of stock. She says to the camera, “David, come on.” Next, she goes to the tea section for the Milo’s sweet tea she wanted. He claimed that was out of stock, too, and tried to supplement it with something else. She shows the camera that there are numerous gallons of the tea she wanted in stock currently. She says, “What the [expletive], David. Was David even at Walmart?”

Haley finds out that everything her shopper claimed was out of stock, actually wasn’t out of stock. As she goes on to say, she’s “annoyed.” It’s not just the fact that she wanted to avoid going to the grocery store after a long day and figured she could pay for this service instead. She says that “there are people that pay a monthly subscription to Walmart to pay for this service for the delivery drivers to treat them the same way.” Sounds about right for Walmart, honestly.

One commenter hilariously joked, “Was David working from home maybe?” Another commenter had a suggestion. They told Haley, “Take a picture of all those items he said we’re out of stock and then go see a manager and get to the bottom of it. If you don’t say anything, they can’t fix it and you’ll be speaking for the elderly people that can’t get out and get what they really need.” That could help her get to the bottom of the problem.
