They “encouraged” her to move them

A woman in Florida, gobsmacked, read a letter that her neighbors left in her mailbox. She had received a complaint about her children’s toys being in her yard, which is, of course, her property. While a debate sparked in the comments, the woman in question then showed the yard, which was nearly empty.

@brontebogetti

It’s insane to me that someone is so bothered by children’s toys outside where kids play!!!!!

The woman in question is Bronte Bogetti. She is a content creator who regularly posts a variety of content, including lifestyle, family, and even makeup. The clip describing her aforementioned neighbor situation, however, became her most viewed in months. It garnered 1.1 million views, 36,000 likes, and more than 3,000 comments.

The Florida woman, who admitted to being baffled, read the letter that was left in her mailbox. An “ongoing concern” was expressed in the letter regarding the “increasing number” of Bronte’s children’s toys being left in her own front yard. The letter also pointed out inflatable accessories and other unspecified children’s items.

“The accumulation of these materials is visible,” the letter read. “Front-facing areas gives the appearance of clutter and distracts from the overall look of our neighborhood.”

As a result of the “accumulation,” the author of the letter hoped they could “encourage” her to move the items to her backyard. This, according to the neighbors, was to preserve “neighborhood pride” by keeping her front yard clear.

Woman Shows Yard

Bronte did not agree with the letter’s content, refusing to accept that her front yard was filled with toys. Instead, she detailed that she has some chairs and a deflated “inflatable thing” that she uses every day. Furthermore, the mother explained that other children come to her yard to play, which, in her opinion, “makes our neighborhood welcoming and inviting.”

The internet, however, was skeptical. Many believed the letter was polite and that Bronte was exaggerating, even going as far as siding completely with the neighbors.

In a follow-up clip, the Florida woman sought to make things abundantly clear regarding her front yard. Just as she said, the video showed the “inflatable thing” and a few chairs. Otherwise, the yard was almost empty, which is arguably completely different from how the letter portrayed it to be.

Debate Continues

Some users who had criticized Bronte went as far as deleting their original comments after seeing the front yard. One viewer said, “Ok, I take it back. They are being ridiculous.” Others told her to accumulate even more things, disregarding the neighbors’ “encouragement.” One person commented, “I would get a 10ft water slide out there.”

Still, some viewers insisted that she was guilty of what she was being accused of. One viewer wrote, “Nobody would EVER write a letter about this, you 1000% cleaned up.” Another one added, “I agree with your neighbor. It looks sloppy.” Both of these comments were met with criticism, with many defending Bronte and her front yard.

Bronte continued to respond with new follow-up clips to some user comments. By the looks of it, she won’t be moving any toys or “inflatable accessories” any time soon.
