California Super Bowl Fan Pays $3,400 for Seats So Far Away the Game Looks Like a Dot, Internet Shrugs: ‘They Just Want to Say They Were in the Building’

They were in the building

Some fans went all out to make it to Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in California. Fans took long flights, spent huge amounts of money, sometimes thousands of dollars, just to be there. But even after shelling out for the pricey tickets, plenty of folks ended up sitting way up in the nosebleeds, squinting at the field and barely catching the action. Right before kickoff, resale prices hovered around $3,300 for a pair, and single tickets still ran well into four figures, even for the worst seats in the house.

$3,400 for these Super Bowl seats.

– Uncomfortable
– Sun in your eyes
– Can't see the field
– Horrible game
– Terrible halftime show
– Bathroom 2 miles away

I fail to understand why people pay that much for an experience like this. Is it just me? pic.twitter.com/qswhtpr9Go

Not surprisingly, photos and videos showing these distant views started popping up all over social media. People jumped into debates about whether this was even worth it. On X, some fans said they paid $3,400 each just to watch what looked like ants moving around. They figured if you are spending that much, you should at least get a decent view and a comfy seat, but instead, a lot of them felt like they were just watching from a far-off balcony.

This isn’t new for the Super Bowl. The game at Levi’s Stadium had some of the priciest tickets ever, even as resale values slid right before game day. While prices dropped a bit, you are still looking at a ticket that costs more than a week’s pay for a lot of people, and the higher up you go, the less of the game you actually get to see.

Internet Reacts After Fan Shares View From $3,400 Super Bowl Seats In California

The chatter on X says a lot. One user straight-up alleged, “They just want to say they were in the building.” Another user said, “You couldn’t pay me 3400 dollars to go through all of that.” A user went on to say, “To say they went and post it on their socials for clout.” One user suggested, “Stay home. Comfortable recliner, fridge close by, no strangers, set your own volume, and sweet puppies.”

Another netizen commented, “Bragging rights. Imagine going to work on Tuesday or Wednesday and being like I went to the Super Bowl.” “$3,400 to watch pixels, get sunburnt, and walk a marathon to the bathroom”, read a comment.

It makes you wonder if what you get matches what you expect. When someone drops over $3,000 for a seat where the players look like tiny specks, you start to ask if it’s really worth it, not just the money, but the discomfort and the view, too. Ticket prices always spark debate, and this year’s Super Bowl in California just adds more fuel to the fire. With these prices, what should the “big game” really give you?
