It’s been almost three years since we got the first collection, but today Konami brought many surprises, including Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2. This collection brings two classics, which have been long-awaited by many fans. However, it seems the story of Vol. 1 isn’t over, because that trilogy of games is also getting several improvements, ranging from better visuals to texture upgrades. While the wait was long, it is great to see that 2026 is going to be a huge year for Metal Gear fans.

In case you missed today’s State of Play, Konami revealed Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2. This collection will include Guns of the Patriots and the fan-favorite Peace Walker. Just like Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, these remasters will feature improved visuals, bonus content, and several other new things that will make these legendary games feel modern. And if you have a save file from the first collection, you can also obtain the following items:

  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Bonus: Gold Camouflage
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (HD Collection version) Bonus: Uniform: GOLD

Additionally, the first collection is receiving several improvements, including High Resolution Packs for all three games. This will be free for everyone who owns the game, and players can download it as soon as it becomes available. Once the High Resolution Packs launch, players can toggle them on and off through the games’ main menus.

If you want, you can pre-order the collection now and receive pre-order bonuses: a camouflage cardboard forĀ Guns of the Patriot and a uniform for Peace Walker. And if not, remember that there’s a sale going on for different Metal Gear games, especially with some of the remasters and even Snake Eater Delta, which are all excellent games you should play before the new collection launches.
