Current events in the United States have disproportionately affected minority communities, many of whom lack the protections and support they need. As a result, there are a lot of so-called ‘Americans’ who feel the need to act aggressively towards them just because. One Florida family had to experience this first-hand while on a simple delivery trip to a customer at an RV Resort.
What’s worse than the woman reportedly acting aggressively towards the immigrant woman and mother is that it was the latter’s son who recorded the entire incident. Sometimes, it’s better to just be quiet and move along if you don’t like something, especially if you’re only interacting for a minute to collect your grocery order.
The above video was posted to the TikTok account @santi65036, whose name is depicted as Santi, and shows a mother making a delivery at a RV Resort in Ruskin, Florida. It’s really the caption that tells most of the story, with the boy alleging that the woman his mother was delivering to was rude, saying, “My mom got out the car to give her the bad for the delivery, the woman then proceeded to aggressively take the bags out of my moms hands even scratching my moms hand.”
At the very beginning of the video, you can hear the woman even say to his mother, “how do you get a job in America without speaking English?” The woman then proceeds to aggressively take one of the grocery bags and some paper towels from Santi’s mother’s hands. Unfortunately, Santi’s mother was unable to understand the rude question, so he needed to translate it for her.
The rest of the interaction appears to go without a hitch, but it is clear that Santi was very shocked by the encounter, especially since his mother is just trying to provide for her family.
Florida Woman Acts Aggressively Toward Delivery Driver
The replies were flooded with comments from people who commended Santi for recording the situation, with one person even saying, “glad you recorded this.” Other people were incredibly angry with the customer’s behavior throughout the delivery, with one person saying, “actually disgusting,” and another saying, “Why can’t ppl just be kind.”
It’s unclear if Santi’s mother took any kind of action via the delivery application she works with, though it’s obvious that there are people willing to fight for her otherwise. Hopefully, Santi’s mother has much easier deliveries with people who are much kinder to her than this woman was.
