Unfortunately, a lot of influencers think that their social status gives them the right to do anything at establishments. This is what an entitled German influencer thought as he wanted to enter a doner restaurant in New York named Döner Haus. Apparently, he didn’t want to stand in the long line like everyone else. This encouraged a bouncer at the door to tell him, “No VIP line.”
The influencer then started explaining to the bouncer that he should be allowed to skip the line. This made a man waiting in line interrupt the conversation and say that they had been waiting in the cold for four hours. Instead of doing the same, the influencer told him that no “idiot” waits in line for four hours. So he wasn’t just entitled, but disrespectful as well.
The New York bouncer made it clear several times that he didn’t care that he was talking to an influencer and that he should wait in line like everybody else. “You really think I’m gonna wait in line for a little doner?” he asked in disbelief. He then said, “Do I look like I wait in lines?” The bouncer only stood his ground as he told the obnoxious man, “Go get a doner in Germany. You don’t need to be here.”
You would think that the influencer would take the hint and leave, but he did the opposite. He proceeded to threaten the bouncer that he could close his “little store” if he wanted to. “I can make one phone call, make sure Döner Haus stays closed,” he continued. The bouncer had a perfect response though because he replied, “Make the phone call and tell them I say hello.” The influencer didn’t stop at the threat. He then claimed that his family owns everything in Germany and that he can buy the restaurant. I would like to see that. The video ended with him leaving and claiming that he would bring his Albanian friends with him. So that’s another threat. Imagine doing all of that for a doner kebab.
People Reacting to the Entitled German Influencer in New York
A lot of people found the influencer’s freakout at the New York restaurant to be obnoxious. Since he was quite entitled, one person wrote, “There is a special place in hell for influencers.” Another person enjoyed the bouncer’s response as they said, “‘Make your phone call and tell them I said hello’ classic NY response, I love it.” Someone else believed that the situation could have ended badly for the influencer, especially with his attitude. “Man, if this is in Queens, he’s one bad pop off from getting popped. He’s got an attitude, a punchable face, an accent, and no security. He’s asking to be forcedfed his own teeth,” they wrote.
To make this situation even more annoying, it turned out that the guy does this a lot for content. “This isn’t a freakout, this dude does this as his content, it’s douchebag content for sure but it’s manufactured. He’s the same dude that had the ‘trying to buy a whole wheel of cheese’ video, and he’s got a recent one where he tries to ring the stock exchange bell and tells them ‘my family owns the bell.’ He’s a fake, rage baiting rich kid,” one person explained. This made another person reply, “Even if you’re just ‘pretending to be an [expletive]’ for your content, you’re still acting like an [expletive]. So it doesn’t make much of a difference (especially for the people who have to deal with him).” This definitely only made him more annoying.
