A very impatient customer was recorded shouting at a manager at a Florida Olive Garden. He claimed she was ignoring him in favor of being on the phone. The manager herself was on the phone because she was trying to fix the computer, which one would assume needed to process the order. The man didn’t care, though, as he continued to insult and shout at the staff before angrily taking away his order.
Before he could leave, the camerawoman, who was another customer and had been silently recording, interrupted him, saying how he had just entered the Florida Olive Garden two minutes ago. The man didn’t like what she was saying, and the two got into a heated verbal exchange. Thankfully, things didn’t escalate further, though the recording soon made its way online, where internet users began to criticize the impatient customer.
Internet Mocks Angry Florida Customer
Many remarked on how excessively he was reacting just because he had to wait for several minutes for his order. “He waited THREE whole minutes for a to-go order?!? What a travesty,” one user sarcastically wrote. Others didn’t understand why he felt the need to yell at the Florida Olive Garden manager like that. Based on his words, perhaps he assumed the manager was just wasting his time and not considering the fact that the woman was on the phone to fix something on the computer.
One user said that the manager could have handled that better by informing the man that she had to fix an issue with the computer first before attending to him, and that might have stopped him from losing his patience. The user explained, “If I’m on the phone with tech support you will have to wait. Sorry, but I need my equipment to work. I will acknowledge you, but hopefully another employee will come help you. I need to concentrate on which wire to reset and what error code to look for.”
Others praised the camerawoman for speaking up against the Florida man. Some especially appreciated her sharp words and cutting insults, which clearly made the man even angrier.
Of course, some used this chance to express their dislike toward Olive Garden in general. Some wondered why the man even bothered to go to the location if he seemed to hate the restaurant so much. One user even said that getting angry over reheated pasta was a waste of energy in the first place.
