Paying for a service like getting your nails done isn’t just expected, it’s a basic sign of respect for the time, skill, and effort that goes into it. One brazen California woman in Long Beach put that expectation to the test when she allegedly refused to pay for her nails, sparking a tense confrontation at the salon. The footage was recorded by one of the salon workers, and is currently making the rounds online.
The video opens with the California woman standing inside the salon, though her words cannot be heard because the doors are closed. As she opens the doors to exit the premises, a few employees are gathered outside. “You wait for a minute. The police come right now.” warns one of the nail salon workers. Calmly, and with her hand on her hip, the woman replies, “They just said don’t call the police department, though, when I can pay tomorrow.” To this, the employee explains, “No. We call the police. They should tell us. Not you.” and closes the door on the shameless patron.
However, moments later, the woman opens the door to leave and head towards her car without paying for her nails. As she walks to her vehicle, she says, “I was in communication with the police department because my father is a police officer at the sheriff’s reserves.” While the other employees don’t attempt to physically stop her from getting into her car, you can hear them say things like, “Can you help me?” and “She doesn’t want to pay.” As she drives off, a few witnesses can be seen recording her car’s California license plate.
Netizens’ Reactions to the Brazen California Woman
As expected, the brazen woman at the center of the drama faced widespread criticism on social media. On Reddit, one commenter wrote, “I hope he’s also a lawyer, judge and correctional officer because that’s how you’re trending” and another chimed in with, “If you don’t got the money, stop getting your nails done. This is just outright stealing and i hope the police help this business out.” Meanwhile, on Instagram, one user penned, “Who cares where your father works? Pay your bill.” A fourth chipped in with, “You have her license plate. File a case at the police dept“.
This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially when it harms small, local businesses that rely on every customer. Hopefully, the nail salon involves the police and the woman ultimately pays her bill.
