Trump Went to Church ‘Three Times’ on Weekends, Florida Pastor Paula White-Cain Claims: ‘The Church Was a Big Part of His Life’

Not exactly divine arithmetic

Paula White-Cain, Trump’s Faith Office adviser, is back in the spotlight. This time, the Florida-based pastor isn’t drawing attention for her usual over-the-top comparisons, like likening Trump to Jesus, but for a strange claim about his childhood church habits that has got people talking online.

During an appearance on Fox News’s “My View with Lara Trump” on April 4, White-Cain said, “Many people don’t know about the upbringing of President Trump. He went sometimes three times a week to Saturday and Sunday school.”

That comment took off on X and other social media platforms. People immediately picked it apart, pointing out the obvious math problem: Saturday and Sunday are just two days. If you are going three times a week to church, that means you must be doubling up at least one day. The clip racked up hundreds of thousands of views, as users couldn’t resist taking a jab at the timeline.

White-Cain firmly stands by her assertion, saying Trump’s childhood trips to both Saturday and Sunday school prove he has always had strong religious roots. She says, “The church was a big part of his life.”

White-Cain lives in Florida, and she is known as a televangelist who preaches the prosperity gospel. She has been Trump’s spiritual adviser since 2002, when he first reached out after seeing her TV ministry, and now she runs the White House Faith Office.

Internet Reacts to Florida Televangelist’s Claim About Trump’s Childhood Church Attendance

The mathematical contradiction dominated the response. “How could he go three times a week over two days? Unless she wants us to believe he went twice in one day, which would be hilarious,” one person wrote. Another put it more simply: “These people lie with such holy confidence they can’t even make the week make sense.”

Religious skepticism ran through many of the other replies. “Yet he can’t name a single Bible verse,” one commenter noted. Another took a broader view of the week’s events: “She just stopped short of saying he went to church more than Jesus. She almost got there though.”

Others took a sarcastic jab at the situation. “Ah yes, because Trump has shown such godliness over the years,” one person wrote.

This clip went viral because it has that perfect storm: a glaring mistake with the math that anyone can spot, plus White-Cain saying it with total conviction on national TV. And the timing couldn’t have been worse for her. It aired on Easter Sunday morning, just days after all the drama about comparing Trump to Jesus. So people were already questioning her credibility, and this just added fuel to the fire.
