Connecticut Man Violently Smashes Audi Window After Driver Harasses Him: ‘Don’t Mess With People With Nothing to Lose’

He didn’t hesitate

A Connecticut homeless man’s intense reaction shocked thousands when he smashed an Audi driver’s rear window after being blatantly harassed. He was interacting with the driver at a traffic light when suddenly he lurched backward after something had been allegedly thrown at him. Reddit called it “karma” when the driver drove off with a shattered windshield after doing whatever they did to the homeless man.

The clip was initially shared on r/TikTokLounge by AleccSirKaDeewana, then reposted on r/Whatcouldgowrong, where a couple of hundred views turned into the thousands. While there is a lack of context as to what was said between the Audi driver and the homeless individual, the one in the car clearly did something the other didn’t like. Many claimed the driver’s behavior was expected due to the area where the incident happened.

Many Comments Blame the Culture of Where This Incident Happened

Multiple people alleged that the spot was on I-95 near Greenwich, Connecticut. One person called the town one of the “snobbiest” places they’ve ever been to. “You’ll never meet people who are more entitled than the spoiled kids that inherited wealth. They demand to be put on a pedestal,” they explained.

Of course, this view on Connecticut is subjective and will depend on one’s experience. For instance, I95 Rock claims that CT is the 3rd most snobbiest state in the country; on the other hand, some say that the state’s culture is misunderstood and misrepresented due to how “very fast paced” it is.

Location-based culture aside, many others simply believed the driver got what he deserved. “Don’t mess with people with nothing to lose,” remarked a commenter. “Throwing your trash at a homeless guy: $0. Replacing an Audi rear windshield: $800. The instant karma delivered at 50 mph: Priceless,” laughed another.

This isn’t the first time a Connecticut driver has made a grave mistake while out on the road. One truck near a highway merge point had dropped its unsecured fridge at an intersection. This incident was more of an oversight than harassment with the homeless man and his “heavy metal jacket,” but both ended up costing the drivers possibly hundreds in damages.

On the flip side, some people did find it telling or suspicious that the man reached for his jacket first before interacting with the Audi driver. But, as one Redditor implies about safeguarding oneself, “I’m a woman and I carry a heavy purse.. dude is going through hard times, doesn’t mean he isn’t smart.”
