A video has been posted of a Florida woman sharing her side of the story after MAGA supporters tricked her into a bad-faith interview on April Fools’ Day. The original clip was posted on TikTok, where the woman in question details that she didn’t realize the interviewers were only tricking her. Users commented on the video with advice and well wishes, while some detailed a broader conversation about standing up for what they believe in.
The video above shows the woman who was tricked speaking about her side of the story while seated in her car at night. She explains that a video of her was posted by MAGA-centered influencers that shows her defending certain topics asked of her, saying, “I let myself get baited into one of those bad faith interviews with two MAGA influencers.”
She explains that, “I go to the beach and then they had like No Kings, Dump Trump signs and I engage with them, and they’re like, ‘Oh, April Fools, we’re actually MAGA.”
No Kings is a protest movement that has been demonstrated across the country against what is described as the authoritarian policies of President Donald Trump and corruption in his administration. Demonstrations have been attended by millions of people nationally.
Users who watched the video and commented shared their opinion on the situation, with one person saying, “there 15-30 minutes of footage of you on the right side of history.”
