A California man says he visited Platinum Sales & Services in Norco to obtain invoice paperwork, but claims the situation escalated when several employees became confrontational. He alleges that one employee physically assaulted him while also directing racial slurs at him. Footage of the incident is making the rounds online right now.
TikTok user Lucky.dad.1982 started recording a video of the employees at Platinum Sales, who are apparently all family. They’re hanging out together, and appear to be casually drinking on the job. When he starts recording, they question him on why they’re being recorded and that he’s doing so on “private property.” They continue to argue with him. Lucky then speaks to his audience, “This is the type of service you get at Platinum Sales & Services” as he watches the chaotic scene unfold in disbelief.
One of the male employees walks up to him and tells him he’s “trespassing” since he won’t stop recording. Immediately, the employee is in his face and starts to escort him out of the building. They do this despite the fact that he says they refuse to give him his paperwork with his own payment information.
Outside the building, the employee is seen confronting him at close range, shouting and allegedly using a racial slur. He is also heard ordering him to leave the property while allegedly making threats of violence, including a death threat against Lucky.
The TikToker keeps his cool as this employee is literally face-to-face with him. They continue threatening him, telling him they’ll knock him out. Then, one of the employees forcefully knocks the phone out of his hand, sending it flying to the ground until he picks it back up.
How People Are Reacting to Lucky’s Video on TikTok
Commenters shared their shock over the video. Some praised Lucky and how he was able to keep his cool in the best way: “A goal of mine is to be this calm.” Another mentioned, “You’re a real one for regulating your emotions and having emotional intelligence. Literal king behavior.”
Others urged him to seek help from authorities with his video evidence: “So many charges can be filed here. Please go to the police.” One commenter even shared, “My dad is an attorney in Columbia, South Carolina, he said congrats on the easiest lawsuit lol.” Numerous viewers agreed, arguing Lucky has a near airtight case.
Several TikTok users urged others to leave a review on Google and Yelp, though some claimed the bad reviews were being deleted. Some reviews still up on Yelp list the video as a reason for avoiding the dealership altogether. Bad reviews before the video accuse Platinum Sales & Services of misleading customers and unprofessionalism.
Over several update videos, Lucky says they identified the parties involved in the incident and said he’ll be speaking with the sheriff’s department. He also clarifies he’ll be suing. In one video, he showed they tried to hide their business from public view, due to bad press. The employees can be seen taking down a large banner displaying the name of their business across the street from their main shop.
