Disrespectful Texas Truck Driver Parks in Neighbor’s Backyard to Wash His Vehicle: ‘Must Be Some Bizarre Power Move’

Not a very neighborly thing to do

In less than a week of moving, the new neighbors of a Texas homeowner have already stirred up trouble: by parking right in his backyard. According to Thesaw2 on r/mildlyinfuriating, the neighbor’s outdoor water faucet was in the back of the house. So, because he couldn’t wash his truck in the front driveway, he trespassed without permission to wash his Ram in the back, parking directly on the property next door. The worst bit was that the neighbor allegedly knew.

In his post, Thesaw2 explained that a visible pink flag marked the property line between his land and the neighbor’s. When confronted about parking his truck on property that wasn’t his, the neighbor’s alleged disrespectful and entitled reaction grinded the gears of the homeowner and tens of thousands of other Reddit users.

The New Neighbor Allegedly Knew That It Wasn’t His Property

“He admitted he knew the land was ours, but assumed it wasn’t an issue since he’d be done in an hour,” Thesaw2 recalled in his post. After the homeowner told the new neighbor that that still wasn’t acceptable, the truck owner shot back, saying he should be “more neighborly.” This definitely wasn’t a good start to their relationship, though commenters believed it painted a clear picture of what sort of neighbor this was.

“This guy went out of his way to put his truck on your property in what must be some bizarre power move,” remarked a commenter. “You may want to consider building a fence,” suggested another, to which Thesaw2 responded, saying that it would now be 100% necessary.

Other people claimed that this truck owner did this on purpose to see what he could get away with in this new neighborhood. “New guy moves in. Immediately tests boundaries, like a 2-5 year old,” said a Redditor. “Fun fact, because he drives a red Dodge Ram, odds are higher that he has a DUI,” accused someone else.

Thousands more expressed how they don’t have high hopes that this new neighbor will keep the peace. Within a week, not only has he been allegedly disrespectful to the next-door homeowner, but he’s also trespassed and potentially ruined that portion of the lawn by parking on it and possibly rinsing off soapy water into the grass. Unfortunately, these don’t seem to be the actions of someone seeking a lasting friendship.
