A woman in Oregon is being accused of racism after her Black neighbors shared camera footage that allegedly shows her harassing them.
The neighbor said that she and her friend are the only Black residents in their apartment building. She alleged that both of them have been targeted and harassed by the same woman. She also claimed that the woman has a reputation for allegedly harassing people of color.
In the footage shared by the neighbor, the woman is seen standing outside the apartment door, yelling and repeatedly cursing. At one point, she told the neighbor that she “belong in Gresham,” a remark that some viewers online interpreted as racially motivated.
Another part of the footage shows the woman approaching the neighbor’s door camera and making offensive gestures by raising both middle fingers. She then leaned toward the camera and said, “Go back to Gresham you [expletive] pieces of [expletive].” After returning to her own door, she continued yelling, repeating the same statement about Gresham along with additional profanity. She also referred to the Black women as “trash,” which further intensified the backlash online.
According to the neighbor’s caption, she said she had already submitted an incident report. She also sent the videos to the apartment manager. She later shared another clip in which the same woman yelled at her about how she parked, though she insisted she was not parked incorrectly. “You guys can’t tell me this isn’t racially motivated,” she added, pointing specifically to the repeated “Gresham” comments as part of her concern.
The neighbor also said she called the police and filed a report over the incidents. “This is all unprovoked,” she added. According to her, an officer said they had heard of the woman before. The officer allegedly said that the woman has mental health issues. The neighbor, however, made it clear that this did not change how she viewed the situation or her concerns about the behavior.
The neighbor also said she contacted the apartment management and shared additional concerns raised in follow-up videos. She shared another video that she said supported her claims about a prior argument over parking. In it, the woman could be heard yelling and using profanity. In that same clip, one of the two Black women involved claimed they had conducted a background check on the woman. Some claims mentioned in the videos could not be independently verified.
