A bizarre gender reveal party in Tennessee went viral not just because it took place on Mother’s Day, but also because the prospective mother in question also allegedly drank some abortion pills and tried to abort the pregnancy after finding out that she was having a girl. Additionally, it appears the father didn’t want the child, leading to a rather heated interaction, which might have led to the alleged abortion.
Facebook user Dee Drac from Memphis, Tennessee, is the woman in question, and around May 10, aka Mother’s Day 2026, Dee Drac posted her gender reveal party. In the video, it appears everything was initially going well, with money scattered on the ground and even balloons at the ready for the gender reveal. Still, Dee Drac herself admitted she wanted a “Junebug” or a boy, instead of a “Ladybug.” But after popping the balloon, the confetti was pink; the baby is a girl.
Eventually, Dee Drac’s friends handed her a bag, which allegedly contained abortion pills, something she immediately drank while she and her friends cheered, “No gender? No gender!” Dee Drac then explained the situation in a follow-up post, complete with screenshots of her conversation with the baby’s father, alluding to how the child was unwanted.
“[Expletive] yeah I killed his baby baby I’m already broke & my [expletive] got 4 kids …I bet not have a baby by a [expletive] that’s TELLING ME HE NOT GONE STEP UP,” says Dee Drac in the post. She also added that the father “COULDNT EVEN SHOW UP TO A GENDER REVEAL THAT WAS FREEEEE WHAT MAKE YALL THINK HE WAS GONE SHOW UP TO MY DAUGHTER?” and that supposedly contributed to her decision to terminate the pregnancy.
A funeral and a gender reveal in one?
Viewers were in disbelief at the event, of course, which is why influencers and podcasters have invited Dee Drac over to confirm what she did. With that said, the Tennessee woman claimed that “I TOOK THE PILLS & got drunk afterwards & threw up hours later which included the pills so they didn’t take,” in an update that was posted near the end of May 10. So it’s not clear whether all the abortion pills went through or not.
Regardless, people online continued to criticize her actions. “If you threw up hours later they probably still in your system..” claims one commenter on Facebook. Others were accusing the Tennessee woman of murder since abortion is technically illegal in the state. “Lord u going to jail,” warns a commenter, assuming Dee Drac’s posts and pregnancy were not fabricated.
Certain commenters appeared supportive, however, with some consoling Dee Drac, “I’m sorry you experienced this. You made the right choice for YOU.” Meanwhile, Dee Drac’s alleged abortion attempt on camera has since sparked a debate on other social media platforms, prompting questions such as, “Do you agree with her decision?”
