A White man in Florida is currently facing backlash after a Black driver filmed him using racial slurs during a confrontation.
It appeared that the two drivers were involved in a roadside confrontation while driving, which led to the video being recorded. The driver began filming and said, “Look at this idiot,” as he drove past the man. In response, the man allegedly cursed at him and used the n-word.
In the next part of the video, the man pulled up beside the driver, who continued filming the confrontation. The man continued harassing him, repeating the same racial slur twice while pointing at the driver. Some viewers online speculated that the man may have been under the influence based on the way he was speaking in the footage, though this was not independently confirmed.
“You wanna film me? But you [n-word],” the man then said. According to the video, he continued repeatedly using the racial slur while cursing at the Black driver. In response, the driver mockingly told him, “I’m a beautiful White man,” before adding, “You are really sad. You need Jesus. I will pray for you.” While the driver spoke, the man also continued repeating the racial slur.
“You are the reason most White people hate [n-word],” the man then claimed. In response, the driver accused the man of tanning in an attempt to look Black. “You know you one ugly evil person, right? You know what you look like? You look like a pink [expletive]. You know what else you look like? You look upset,” the driver then said while continuing to film. The video ended with the man driving away while still repeating the racial slur. Text displayed over the footage read, “driving while black in Jensen Beach FL.”

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers were upset by the racist remarks made by the White Florida man during the confrontation. Some commenters speculated that he may have been intoxicated based on his behavior and speech in the video. “He’s drunk for sure,” one person wrote. Others argued that being drunk would not excuse the behavior. One commenter responded, “Definitely, but being drunk doesn’t make good people act like this,” while another added, “Yup! I used to get super-drunk all the time. Never once acted like this, and I damn sure had enough sense not to drive, regardless of how drunk I was.”
