Republican and conservative Minnesota citizens are once again turning their frustration toward Tim Walz after the governor posted a message on X about “justice” and accountability after an ICE agent was charged by prosecutors. His statement immediately triggered backlash from conservatives still furious over the state’s fraud scandals and spending controversies.

The post was shared to X by Governor Walz after a Minnesota prosecutor charged an ICE agent with the shooting of a Venezuelan immigrant, just one case of many ICE incidents that caused massive riots earlier this year. His statement was simple and to the point, and probably the last words most of the states’ Republicans want to hear him say out loud.

Minnesotans will continue to demand accountability and justice.

The governor’s message quickly drew sharp reactions online, with Republicans and conservative commenters accusing Walz of trying to rewrite the narrative surrounding his administration. This is just some of what Republicans had to say about his specific hoice of words.

“When will you be held accountable for the billions you wasted when ‘erring on the side of generosity’ with the money MN taxpayers go to work and earn every day? Eat… you [expletive] … embarrassment”

“Why don’t you worry about the corruption you’ve helped to take place on your state”

“Then you should turn yourself in to the FBI and admit your complicity in the Feeding Our Future fraud case. That would be accountability and justice.”

“Gee Timmy, too bad you didn’t demand accountability from yourself, your staff, Keith Ellison, and the Somali slime balls stealing billions from us American citizens!! Didn’t demand justice and accountability on massive fraud, did you? No wonder your own family hates you.”

For many Republicans, the governor’s latest comments about justice and accountability only reopened old wounds instead of closing them. Somali fraud and his major Minnesota cases are under active investigation by President Trump’s administration, and we will see what comes of it.
