Illinois Woman Scolds Panda Express Employees Claiming They Made Pig Noises at Her: ‘Yet no one in the video denied anything she said’

Well, they won’t do that again

An Illinois woman had a lot to say after claiming she heard the workers at her local Panda Express making fun of her. This resulted in her immediately defending herself, berating the employees, and a phone call with the restaurant’s manager.

I want that camera footage so I will be contacting the manager tomorrow bright and early on Monday #racist #gmfu#fofo#fyp#illinois

Posted by Vickie (TikTok/imakeeverythingaboutrace), she had stopped by Panda Express for her order when, according to Vickie, the employees started “making pig sounds” at her. She berates the workers, telling them there were no other Black people in the store at the time and she felt it was directed at her. She tells the workers she was offended by the “obscene sounds” they were making.

During the interaction, the workers also allegedly offered her free bacon with her order, apparently a poor attempt to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, she says that makes her feel like “a pig.”

Vickie continues yelling at the workers until a customer speaks up. When they try to defend the workers and calm Vickie down, she gets even angrier. She walks up to him and tells him to stop “putting his nose” in her business. She tells all of them “disrespectful” and “colonizers.” When she’s done saying her piece, Vickie exits the store and heads for her vehicle.

In an update video, Vickie speaks with a manager at the Panda Express over the phone about what she experienced. She says all of the workers were treating her poorly, with one of them “smirking” at her the entire time.

The manager says they’ll speak with her general manager and let her know what comes of it. She apologizes to Vickie and says that she shouldn’t have “experienced that” under any circumstances. And if they were doing that, they’ll “need a talking to.”

Vickie’s TikTok video draws debate online

Taking Vickie’s word for it, many ran to her defense, with some wanting more evidence and several users posting disturbing racist images. “Call ICE on these mfs.” A TikTok user tried to give constructive advice, telling Vickie to, “File a complain to corporate.”

One TikTok user, who had one of the highest Liked comments, not believing Vickie wrote, “How can I complain today? It’s exhausting.” In the thread, a commenter fired back, saying, “Yet no one in the video denied anything she said…” The thread contained more negatively-edited racist images of Black people.

Vickie continues to defend herself on TikTok, holding fast to her claim that the employees at Panda Express were being racist.
