An argument reportedly unfolded at Sesame Place in Pennsylvania after two guests allegedly attempted to cut in line ahead of people who had been waiting. The situation quickly escalated into a verbal dispute, drawing attention from nearby visitors.
A man confronted the two guests who claimed that their cousin was waiting for them at the front of the line and that they had fast passes. When they tried to move ahead, he used his body to block them from passing. He also told them, “Your cousin didn’t wait in line either.” It is unclear from the video whether their claim was accurate.
As the two guests again attempted to move ahead in the line, the man called out to a nearby employee, asking for assistance. He also alleged that one of the guests was pushing him during the confrontation. One of the guests continued arguing, insisting that he was trying to reach his cousin. Despite the ongoing dispute, the man remained in place and continued to block them from moving past him.
The same guest then made another attempt to quickly move past the man, but he was stopped again at the last moment. As the argument continued, the person filming stepped in and suggested that the man should let them pass if they indeed had fast passes, as they claimed. The guest then said, “I don’t know who he think he is,” further escalating the disagreement.
The camerawoman then suggested that the two guests leave and use the fast pass line instead. However, they continued arguing with the man rather than moving away. One of them even alleged that the man was harassing him. The dispute continued for several more moments, prompting the camerawoman to call for a staff member to intervene.
When an employee arrived, the camerawoman asked where guests with fast passes were supposed to stand. The employee asked whether they had wristbands, and she explained that they did not, since the two guests claimed their fast passes were with their cousin. The employee then stated that he could not assist them without wristbands. Viewers online later noted that the two guests appeared to disappear from the line after staff were called.
Viewers Criticize Pennsylvania Theme Park Guests for Alleged Behavior
The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers criticized the two Pennsylvania guests for allegedly attempting to cut the line, saying the behavior was unacceptable. “Because they think they’re privileged,” one person wrote. Another said, “Mind your business? Someone cut me in line while I’m waiting in the hot sun. Hell no! Wait, your turn like everyone else.”
More people criticized the two guests, with one person writing, “Exactly why I tell my family when we go to places like this to get in line together just because your family is further ahead doesn’t mean you cut in front of the ones who been waiting for awhile that’s crazy.. just follow the rules.” Another commented, “We learned about waiting in line in elementary school how are we messing this up.”
The video sparked a broader conversation about rules in public establishments and that guests should not cut in line. It also led to discussion about whether people should intervene or stand up to others when they witness behavior they believe is unfair or against the rules, and how such situations should be handled in public settings.
