Internet users were left outraged after a man in Missouri was filmed jumping behind the counter at a McDonald’s and stealing fries in front of employees and customers. The incident quickly went viral on social media.
In the short video, the man appeared to be inside a McDonald’s with a group of friends. As they stood near the counter, one of his friends could be heard encouraging him by saying, “Go, go.” The man then ran toward the counter, jumped over it, and entered the kitchen area behind the restaurant’s service line.
After jumping over the counter, an employee appeared to try to stop him, but the man simply walked past him. He then reached into a container of freshly cooked fries with his bare hands and grabbed a handful before immediately starting to eat them. The employee appeared unable to stop him and could only watch as the incident unfolded.
While the man was taking the fries, his friends continued filming and laughing at his behavior. Afterward, he jumped back over the counter and left the restaurant while eating the fries he had taken. The person who originally shared the video added the caption, “POV McDonald’s started self serve.” It is unclear whether the rest of the group left with him or if the incident led to any further disturbance inside the restaurant.
