The first look at Godzilla: King of Monsters is out and while it lacks monsters, it does feature a new character. Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown posted the short teaser trailer to her Instagram. It features the young actress alone in a control room as she desperately tries to make contact with the group Monarch.
According to Twitter, Monarch is an organization devoted to protecting the human race before the world is destroyed by monsters like Godzilla and other creatures. They also appeared in Kong: Skull Island.
Monarch’s primary mission is to ensure the survival of humanity in the shadow of the ancient monsters threatening our world. And we need YOUR help.

The teaser continues as Brown’s character, Madison Russel, sits in the control room when she gets a response from the radio. However, the return call doesn’t do her any good. Over the transmitter we hear gunfire, shouting, and what might be the sound of Godzilla roaring. The people on the other side of that call are not having a good time.
“Godzilla: King of the Monsters follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters. When these ancient super-species — thought to be mere myths — rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.”
After the events of the first film, Godzilla vanished, leaving the world to wonder if there are more monsters out there. Monarch tracks monsters like Godzilla, and King Kong in an effort to control them. The film is set to feature classic Godzilla enemies such as Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.
Fans will learn more about the Warner Bros. sequel at San Diego Comic-Con.
