When an Idaho woman was out enjoying the day with her girlfriend at a mall, they decided to get some snapshots of the day. However, while taking photographs together, they were stopped by a mall security officer. He has other ideas in mind as he confronted them with anger in a way that scared the women.
Alyssa (@alyssa.bratcher) said, “Happy 4th of July to us” about an incident that happened at Grand Teton Mall in Idaho. A mall security officer, who she refers to as Hansen, saw her and her girlfriend taking silly photos in the mall together. He allegedly approached them with an angry demeanor, telling them they would get “banned” from the mall if they continued. They decided to mind their own business but Hansen proceeded to “yell and curse” at the two women.
Alyssa caught a portion of the interaction on camera, where the mall officer berates them in a disrespectful and irritable fashion. He tells Alyssa that “they’ll get banned” if they keep taking pictures. He gets more furious, asking her why she needs to be recording and tells her that she can “leave” the mall. As she’s trying to defend herself and says she doesn’t care, he laughs in her face. He angrily exclaims, “But you do care!” multiple times, visibly getting more irritable.
Eventually, Alyssa fighting back with her stance starts to really get on his nerves. He tells her he’s going to ban her from the mall for “being rude and obnoxious.” He continues interrupting her until he screams at the top of his lungs in her face, “I’m telling you not to do it!” His rage peeks and he heads toward her camera, grabbing onto it and trying to push Alyssa and her girlfriend out of the way. They have to physically restrain him and hold him back so he can’t break her camera.
This is where the video ends, but Alyssa says they took action against the explosive mall cop. Another officer arrived on scene and said Hansen was in the wrong. They allowed her to file a report and had the video evidence to support it. She says the mall cop is “unsafe and dangerous” and warns anybody who may encounter him.
Commenters immediately reacted to Alyssa’s video, shocked by the actions of the mall officer. One commenter stated, “..But we’re the emotional ones.” Another commenter suggested further action, sharing, “I would be calling the actual police.” One commenter also pointed out, “He is wearing a wedding ring. Hope his wife is okay” after seeing this display of rage. Commenters continue to react to the video and share their opinions on how the officer handled the situation.
